Abstract

Employees might be one of the most important asset of an organization because the result of their work contributed in achieving the business’ objectives. In this research, the writer is going to find out if working environment does influence employees’ performance at Kantor Pusat PT Bank Mestika Dharma, Tbk. A positive working environment might make employees feel good about coming to work and this provides the motivation to sustain them throughout the day. For this research, the writer has two hypotheses which are null hypotheses where working environment does not influence employee performance and alternate hypotheses where working environment does influence employee performance. The research design for this research is quantitative method. In analyzing the data, the methods used are descriptive statistical analysis, research instrument test, classical assumption test, linear regression analysis, hypothesis test and determination test. Based on the result of research, the conclusion of the research is that working environment does influence employees’ performance at Kantor Pusat PT Bank Mestika Dharma, Tbk. From the test conducted, the result shows that the data is normally distributed, have linear relationship and free of heteroscedasticity. An equation obtained is Y = 27.178 + 0.423X. Moreover, the hypothesis test shows that working environment does influence employee performance as the tcount > ttable and the influence is as much as 25%. The findings of the research will act as a reference for company to improve their working environment in order to enhance the employee performance. For future researchers, this research could be a reference for the previous research. / Karyawan mungkin merupakan salah satu aset perusahaan yang paling berharga karena hasil kerja karyawan berdampak pada perusahaan dalam mencapai tujuannya. Pada penelitian ini, penulis akan mencari tahu apakah lingkungan kerja mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di Kantor Pusat PT Bank Mestika Dharma Tbk. Lingkungan kerja yang positif akan membuat karyawan merasa senang ketika bekerja dan menjadi motivasi dalam mempertahankan mereka sepanjang hari. Pada penelitian ini, ada dua jenis hipotesis yakni hipotesis nol dimana lingkungan kerja tidak mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan dan hipotesis alternatif dimana lingkungan kerja mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode kuantitatif. Dalam menganalisa data, metode yang dipakai adalah analisa statistik deskriptif, uji instrument penelitian, uji asumsi klasik, analisa regresi linier, uji hipotesis dan uji determinasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan kerja mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di Kantor Pusat PT Bank Mestika Dharma, Tbk. Dari tes yang dilakukan, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa data terdistribusi normal, mempunyai hubungan linier dan tidak terjadi gejala heteroskedastisitas. Persamaan linier yang didapat adalah Y= 27.178 + 0.423X. Selain itu, uji hipotesis menunjukkan lingkungan kerja mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan karena thitung > ttabel dan pengaruhnya adalah sebesar 25%. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan menjadi refrensi bagi perusahaan untuk memperbaiki lingkungan kerjanya guna meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Untuk peneliti di masa depan, penelitian ini dapat menjadi refrensi untuk peneliti terdahulu.
