Abstract

Banyaknya tugas dan tuntutan mahasiswa kedokteran dan padatnya jadwal kuliah mengakibatkan mahasiswa kedokteran mengalami stres akademik. Stres akademik merupakan respon individu terhadap tekanan, tuntutan, persaingan, dalam lingkup pendidikan. Stres akademik berkaitan dengan efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial, karena stres akademik dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal dan juga faktor eksternal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial terhadap stres akademik khususnya mahasiswa kedokteran umum di Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria yaitu mahasiswa kedokteran umum. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner terhadap 75 mahasiswa kedokteran umum Universitas X di Manado. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan stres akademik yang dialami oleh mahasiswa kedokteran lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal yaitu efikasi diri dibandingkan dengan faktor ekternal yaitu dukungan sosial. Efikasi diri berpengaruh terhadap stres akademik mahasiswa kedokteran sebesar 11,5 % (p = 0,003) dan dukungan sosial tidak berpengaruh terhadap stres akademik pada mahasiswa kedokteran (p = 0,216). Hasil uji regresi efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial secara simultan terhadap stres akademik menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan menujukkan hasil nilai (R square sebesar 15,4 %). Penelitian yang dilakukan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi Stres Akademik pada mahasiswa kedokteran umum di Manado sebesar 84,6%. Mahasiswa diharapkan untuk dapat mengembangkan hubungan sosial dengan membangun hubungan baik dan komunikasi yang baik dengan sesama mahasiswa kedokteran umum yang di Manado untuk mengurangi tingkat stres akademik / There are so many tasks and demands of medical students and the busy schedule that causes medical students to experience academic stress. Academic stress is an individual response to pressure, demands, competition, in the sphere of education. Academic stress is related to self-efficacy and social support, because academic stress is influenced by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy and social support on academic stress, especially general medical students in Manado. This study uses a sampling method with purposive sampling technique with the selected criteria, namely general medical students. Collecting data from this research quantitatively using a questionnaire. Respondents in this study were 75 general medical students in Manado. The results of this study indicate that academic stress experienced by medical students is more influenced by internal factors, namely self-efficacy than external factors, namely social support. The results showed that self-efficacy had an effect on academic stress in medical students by 11.5% (p = 0.003) and social support had no effect on academic stress in medical students (p = 0.216). The results of the regression test of self-efficacy and social support simultaneously on academic stress showed significant results showing the results of the (R square value of 15.4%). This research conducted shows that there are other factors that influence Academic Stress in general medical students in Manado at 84.6%. Students are expected to be able to develop social relationships by building good relationships and good communication with fellow general medical students in Manado to reduce academic stress levels.
