Abstract

Jakarta stop AIDS is campaign program of teenage school children with their peers, to disseminate correct knowledge about HIV/AIDS and drugs, because based on BNN 2008, stating that the majority of people suffering from AIDS, 20-29 age group, which means they are exposed to HIV-infected persons aged 10 to 19 years. This occurs because of a lack of knowledge about the dangers of HIV/AIDS. The campaign is a tool used by public relations in communicating with the public (Newsom 2004), in this public is adolescent, and the message is the information about the dangers of HIV / AIDS and drugs. To see if the message was well received by participants, evaluation is needed. Researchers here to evaluate participants' understanding of the material presented campaign using quantitative methods, namely by providing pretest and posttest questionnaire to see the addition of knowledge before and after the campaign. From the research, found that the addition of knowledge, but not optimal, because the teenage students more confidence to parents in terms of informing the dangers of HIV / AIDS and drugs, therefore, researchers suggest that parents are better given campaign, so that they can send information to their children personally.
