Notaris adalah pejabat umum, sebagai pejabat umum seorang Notaris dalam melaksanakan tugasnya dilindungi oleh Undang-undang yaitu Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2014 tentang Perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 30 Tahun 2004 tentang Jabatan Notaris (untuk selanjutnya disebut UUJN) dan Kode Etik Notaris. Banyaknya pelanggaran Kode Etik Notaris yang dilakukan oleh notaris-notaris maka Dewan Kehormatan Notaris untuk menegakkan Kode Etik Notaris bersama dengan Majelis Pengawas Notaris. Notaris yang melakukan pelanggaran Kode Etik Profesi Notaris akan dikenakan sanksi atas tindakannya dan mengenai sanksi Kode Etik Notaris diatur dalam Pasal 6 Kode Etik Notaris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Daya Mengikat Sanksi Pelanggaran Kode Etik Profesi Notaris oleh Dewan Kehormatan Notaris Indonesia dan untuk mengetahui Tata Cara Penerapan Sanksi Kode Etik Profesi Notaris yang Diberikan oleh Dewan Kehormatan Notaris. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan Metode Penelitian Yuridis-Normatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan perundang-undangan (the statute approach). Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Dewan Kehormatan dalam hal ini berwenang melakukan pembinaan, pengawasan dan pemberian sanksi dalam penegakan Kode Etik Notaris dan terhadap setiap putusan sanksi atas pelanggaran kode etik profesi Notaris oleh Dewan Kehormatan yang telah dijatuhkan memiliki kekuatan hukum yang mengikat terhadap Notaris maupun organisasi atau perkumpulan yang berada dalam lingkaran profesi Notaris yang telah berkekuatan hukum tetap/Notary is a public official, as a public official of a Notary in carrying out his duties protected by law, namely Law Number 2 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 30 of 2004 concerning Notary Position (hereinafter referred to as UUJN) and the Notary's Code of Ethics. There are many violations of the Notary Code of Ethics committed by notaries, so the Notary Honorary Board to enforce the Notary Code of Ethics can cooperate with the Notary Supervisory Council. Notaries who violate the Notary Professional Code of Ethics will be subject to sanctions for their actions and the sanctions for Notary Code of Ethics are regulated in Article 6 of the Notary Code of Ethics. This study aims to determine the Binding Power of Sanctions for Violation of the Notary Professional Code of Ethics by the Notary Honorary Council of Indonesia and to find out the Procedures for the Application of Sanctions for the Notary Professional Code of Ethics Given by the Notary Honorary Council. In this study, using the Juridical-Normative Research Method, using a statutory approach (the statute approach). From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Honorary Council in this case has the authority to provide guidance, supervision and sanctions in enforcing the Notary Code of Ethics and for any sanctions for violations of the Notary Professional Code of Ethics by the Honorary Council which has been imposed has binding legal force to Notaries and organizations or associations within the circle of the Notary profession that have permanent legal force.
