Abstract

Berbagai macam peristiwa tidak pernah luput dari pemberitaan media massa yang fungsinya untuk memberikan informasi yang ada kepada publik.. Hal ini didasarkan pada ideologi dan juga sudut pandang yang dianut oleh media itu sendiri, seperti pada berita mengenai kemacetan di Brebes Exit (Brexit), media memiliki sudut pandang sendiri dalam menyajikan berita tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, yaitu memberikan gambaran bagaimana Kompas.com mengkonstruksi berita peristiwa kemacetan di Brebes Exit dengan perangkat framing Robert N. Entman yaitu define problem, diagnoses causes, make moral judgement, treatment recommendation. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan data primer yaitu dengan cara mengumpulkan beritaberita mengenai kemacetan di Brebes Exit periode 2 s.d. 8 Juli 2016 dan data sekunder yaitu dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan penulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompas.com memberitakan isu terkait peristiwa kemacetan di Brebes Exit (Brexit) berdasarkan kejadian-kejadian yang ada (5W+1H). Penggambaran dalam berita tersebut mencerminkan bagaimana kinerja pemerintah dan para petugas kepolisian dalam menangani kemacetan tersebut, karena faktor-faktor terkait terjadinya peristiwa kemacetan di Brebes Exit ini menjadi pembicaraan bagi khalayak./ Various events never escape from mass media coverage whose function is to provide information to the public. This is based on ideology as well as perspectives held by the media itself, such as on news about congestion in Brebes Exit (Brexit), media Have their own perspective in presenting the news. The result of this research is descriptive, that is giving a picture of how Kompas.com construct news of congestion event in Brebes Exit with framing device Robert N. Entman that is define problem, diagnoses cause, make moral judgment, treatment recommendation. This research uses qualitative approach. The research data collecting is done with primary data that is by collecting news about congestion in Brebes Exit period 2 s.d. July 8, 2016 and secondary data that is from the observations made by the author. The results showed that Kompas.com reported issues related to congestion events in Brebes Exit (Brexit) based on existing events (5W+1H). The depiction in the news reflects how the government and police officers in handling the congestion, due to factors related to the occurrence of congestion events at Brebes Exit, became the talk for the public.
