Abstract

Asia is the continent with the densest population in the world. Therefore, Asia has an important role in advancing the world’s economy. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is the indicator of economic growth. In this thesis, we will see the factors that affect GDP growth and which country in Asia is the most developed in creative economy with respect to GDP growth. The techniques used in this thesis is the panel data regression. There are three models, which are Common, Fixed, and Random Effect Model. Chow Test, Hausman Test and Lagrange Multiplier Test are used to choose the best model. After finding the best model, we examine the model feasibility by checking the coefficient determinants of R2, F test hypothesis and t test hypothesis. In this thesis, Fixed Effect Model is the best model to represent the panel data regression. In the result, Gross Tertiary School Enrollment, the Internet per 100 people, the Cell Phone per 100 people, the Import Royalty and License, and Corruption Perception Index are the independent variables that have a significant influence on GDP. The result shows that Japan has the most developed Asian country in creative economy, followed by Singapore and China.
