This thesis analyzed the impact that caused by the implementation of an ISO 9000 Quality Management System on XYZ ('ompany by mapping company's performance before and after implementation. The research was using descriptive method by cases studies and content analysis. Thus, several techniques were used to collect data by distributing questionnaire, interviews, and observation. Meanwhile data processing was done by using SWOT analysis, conformity and importance's measurement based on ISO 9001:2000 requirements. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of an ISO 9000 Quality Management System on XYZ ('ompany's performance is Effective, hirst, the implementation of every systems can be monitored, measured and controlled; second, the nature of the implementation is top-down, which means the awareness of the benefit of implementing ISO 9000 Quality Management System is most realized by Top level management (Effectiveness : 50.06%, Achievement : 47%); third. Certification of ISO 9000 can be the greatest weapon for marketing people to negotiate with branded buyers because the company can be more responsive to fulfill buyer's demands or requirements. The efficiency of this implementation can be known by the increased of effectiveness that reach 18.97%>, for buyers this means the changing position of order placement, if usually XYZ company's rank was 2'" or 3" rank then by the increased oj effectiveness XYZ company becomes /'" rank. This also effect company's strength map, from the 4" quadrant as the weakest to the Is' quadrant as the strongest. / Tesis ini menganalisa tentang dampak yang dihasilkan dan penerapan Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO 9000 di PT. XYZ melalui pemetaan kinerja pcrusahaan pada periods pra dan pasca implementasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriplif melalui studi kasus dan content analysis. Sedangkan teknik penguinpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket, wawancara dan pengamatan di lapangan. Sedangkan pengolahan data dilakukan melalui analisa SWOT, perhitungan tingkat kesesuaian dan tingkat kepentingan berdasarkan persyaratan ISO 9001:2000. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dampak penerapan sistim manajemen mutu ISO 9000 di PT. XYZ terhadap kinerja perusahaan menjadi lebih efektif karena, pertama, semua penerapan sistem menjadi terpantau, terukur dan terkendali; kedua, penerapannya bersifat top down, artinya level yang paling menyadari maniaat dari penerapan sistem manajemen ini adalah level top mcnajemen (efektilltas=50.06%, pcncapaian =47%); ketiga, perolehan Sertitlkat ISO 9000 menjadi senjata pamungkas marketing dalam bernegosiasi dengan buyer branded karena perusahaan dapat lebih responsif terhadap permintaan atau persyaratan buyer. Kinerja perusahaan pun menjadi lebih efisien, dengan peningkatan efektifitas sebesar 18.97%, telah terjadi perubahan posisi penempatan order buyer terhadap PT. XYZ, yang semula posisi PT. XYZ di mata buyer berada pada posisi kedua atau ketiga, kini menjadi posisi pertama; begitu pula dengan peta kekuatan perusahaan, dari kuadran IV yang paling lemah menjadi kuadran I yang paling kuat.
