Abstract

Perundungan merupakan perilaku yang umum terjadi pada usia remaja, akan tetapi hal tersebut memiliki dampak yang kurang baik bagi korban maupun pelaku perilaku tersebut. Pola asuh yang diaplikasikan oleh orang tua diyakini memegang peranan yang penting agar perilaku perundungan ini dapat menjadi terkendali melalui empati yang ada pada pelaku perundungan. Empati merupakan proses dinamis yang memampukan seseorang untuk dapat merasakan perasaan dan memahami pemikiran yang dimiliki oleh orang lain ketika berada dalam situasi tertentu. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan tingkat empati yang signifikan berdasarkan pola asuh otoritatif, otoriter, dan permisif pada pelaku perundungan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 50 anak remaja yang merupakan pelaku perundungan. Penelitian ini tidak menemukan perbedaan yang signifikan pada tingkat empati berdasarkan pola asuh orang tua otoritatif, otoriter, dan permisifpada anak remaja yang merupakan pelaku perundungan. Salah satu hal yang menyebabkan hal ini terjadi adalah karena partisipan penelitian berada pada usia remaja dan pada usia ini remaja sedang berada dalam fase transisi dari kanak-kanak menuju kedewasaan. Berikutnya remaja berusaha agar diterima oleh teman sebaya mereka, dapat dikatakan hal ini memegang peranan dalam sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh remaja secara spesifik remaja pelaku perundungan. Penjelasan lebih lanjut dapat ditemukan pada bagian diskusi penelitian ini./Bullying is a common behavior that happen during adolescence phase, but it has negative effects both for the victim and the perpetrator. Parenting style that was applied by parents were thought to hold a role in controlling bullying through the role of empathy which is in the perpetrator. Empathy is a dynamic process which enables someone to feel the feeling and understand the mind of someone when they are in a specific situation. This study has its purpose to see if there are some significant empathy difference based on authoritative, authoritarian, and permissive parenting style on the perpetrator of bullying. This study involved 50 adolescence who are bullying perpetrators. This study does not find a significant difference in the empathy levels according to authoritative, authoritarian, and permissive parenting style on the bullying perpetrator. One of the major causes of this is because the participants are still in adolescence phase and in this phase it's a transition phase in turning into an adult. Next adolescence will try to be accepted by their peers, it can be stated that this factor plays a role in the socialization that adolescence do. More explanation can be found in the discussion section in this study.
