Abstract
Baja merupakan material yang banyak dipakai di dunia teknik sipil.
Berdasarkan cara pembuatannya, baja ada dua jenis yaitu hot-rolled (pelat tebal)
dan cold-formed (pelat tipis). Sambungan pada struktur baja yang umum dipakai
ialah sambungan baut dan las. Sambungan baut pada baja ada dua mekanisme
yaitu mekanisme tumpu dan mekanisme slip-kritis atau friksi yang memiliki
perilaku dan perhitungan yang berbeda. Menurut AISI, pada pelat tipis (coldformed)
perencanaan sambungan baut hanya boleh menggunakan mekanisme
tumpu, sedangkan pada ketentuan SNI tidak ada ketentuan mengenai pengaruh
ketebalan pelat terhadap mekanisme yang terjadi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti primer mengenai
pengaruh ketebalan pelat, bentuk lubang baut dan cara pemasangan baut terhadap
perilaku keruntuhan sambungan baut dan juga mengevaluasi ketentuan SNI
maupun AISI tersebut.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara melakukan pengujian tarik
terhadap benda uji berupa sambungan pelat baja satu sisi menggunakan baut mutu
tinggi dengan berbagai parameter. Dari data tersebut didapatkan data numerik
berupa gaya, perpindahan, waktu dan dianalisis dari bentuk grafik.
Dari hasil penelitian dapat dibuktikan adanya pengaruh dari ketebalan
pelat dan bentuk lubang baut terhadap mekanisme sambungan yang terjadi dan
juga pentingnya penggunaan alat ukur lain sebagai pembanding dalam penelitian. / Steel is a material that commonly used in civil engineering world. Based
on its making method, there are two kinds of steel, hot-rolled (thick plate) and
cold-formed (thin plate). Connection in steel structure that commonly used is bolt
connection and weld connection. There are two mechanisms in bolt connection,
bearing mechanism and slip-critical mechanism or friction mechanism which both
has different behavior and different calculation. According to AISI, in coldformed
plate connection using bolt, designing only can use bearing mechanism. In
the other hand, on SNI regulations, plate thickness is not affecting which
mechanism that happened.
This research objective is to obtain primary data about plate thickness,
shape of bolt opening, and bolt setting method influence toward bolt connection
failure behavior and also to evaluate SNI and AISI regulations.
The data collecting activities done by doing tension test to samples which
are a one-sided steel plate connection using high-tension bolt. From each test,
numeric data such as force, displacement, and time can be obtained, then the
graph form can be analyzed.
This research is confirming that there are effects from plate thickness and
shape of bolt opening toward connection mechanism that occurred and also the
importance of other measuring device as comparable instrument of the research.
