Abstract
Literacy hasn‟t being fully grasp in indonesia as an integrated culture in
daily life. To increase a reading society in a country with less than 10% interest in
literacy, become un denying issue.
Until then came small literacy communities, one of which is „Lemari Buku
Buku', that changed the literacy issue into a social movement admist the society
for literacy. This research will be focusing on emancipatory that LBB brings into
people and the effectiveness of social media as the best mediator for spreading
news.
The emancipatory that LBB bring, comes from the knowledge injustice
that are felt by minorities. Therefore LBB are currently trying to end illiterate by
using social media to share all of their activities regularly, make it easy for
volunteers to come and donate.
This research will be using critics approach that explains the importance of
observation in finding the best solution end this literacy issue.
The result of this research shows that LBB need factors to build participate
and process and the last output concepts basic foundation. Critics and suggestion
are welcomed in order to create bigger awareness that literacy changes are
desperately needed in Indonesia. / Literasi belum sepenuhnya diyakini sebagai suatu budaya di Indonesia
yang beriringan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Menumbuhkan masyarakat untuk
gemar membaca serta minat baca di Indonesia masih sangat rendah, hanya satu
sedikit penduduk yang meminati budaya literasi, membentuk isu literasi menjadi
fenomena yang tidak teratasi.
Hingga hadirnya komunitas baca Indonesia, salah satunya Lemari BukuBuku, membawa isu literasi menjadi gerakan sosial di tengah maraknya
ketidakperdulian masyarakat terhadap literasi. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti fokus
kepada partisipasi yang dibawa oleh Lemari Buku-Buku guna memberikan
terobosan baru untuk menumbuhkan minat baca ke dalam masyarakat dan media
sosial sebagai mediasi terbaik dalam penyebaran berita.
Emansipasi, berangkat dari rasa ketidakadilan dalam pengetahuan yang
hanya dapat di nikmati oleh kelas-kelas yang memiliki dominasi, sehingga Lemari
Buku-Buku mencoba mengkritisi isu literasi dengan berpartisipasi membuka
langkah guna menumbuhkan minat membaca. Kehadiran teknologi tidak serta
merta menghalangi Lemari Buku-Buku untuk memberikan informasi kegiatan
secara rutin, hingga mempermudah para relawan serta donatur datang untuk
berdonasi.
Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kritis yang menjelaskan
pentingnya pengamatan dan kritik dalam menemukan langkah terbaik untuk
literasi Indonesia.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Lemari Buku-Buku berpartisipasi
dengan melewati faktor pendorong, proses serta output yang dicapai. Saran dari
penelitian selanjutnya agar dapat melihat lebih tajam lagi bahwa tidak hanya
pengaruh komunitas apabila menginginkan perubahan literasi Indonesia.
