Abstract

Along with the progress and development that took place in Indonesia, architect profession requires attention in the general public. The role of the architect in community life is very important because of the role of architects who first get to know the client and the impact to the community, contributed to improving the quality of the environment and play a role in shaping human life order better in the future. For this reason, this study highlights the role of a professional architect in lingkngan Jakarta aimed at improving the performance of the project design tall buildings in Jakarta. This research problems to be resolved, namely: reflect on how the profession portrait Architects as a designer in particular in Jakarta, and identify critical factors and variables Architect profession in particular that handles building projects tall buildings in Jakarta. The research methodology was conducted through a systematic research process, such as: an early review of the portrait issue in building tall buildings in Jakarta, the study portrait of the role of architects in Jakarta, identify the factors and variables Architects, as well as reviewing the initial analysis through a pilot project planned. With a qualitative approach, combined with a comparative and quantitative approaches, this research will produce a study has important implications for the design of tall buildings in Jakarta. Respondents selected design professionals in Jakarta became the primary data source of this research study. Results of the study are important variables identified the role of the architect, namely: general liability, professional liability architects to service users, the obligations of the profession to the profession, the duty of the profession to the service users, the obligations of the profession to the relevant stakeholders, leadership, and project management. Discussion of the results of this study found three determinant variables influence the role of the architect, namely: (1) X11 is the planning and designing based on the excavation issue, revealed the problem and solve the problem in the form of images, (2) X13 is the stage of conception, the pre-draft , the design phase of implementation, the implementation phase of document creation, tender phase, periodic monitoring phase, (3) X34 is Professionalism Architect in terms of expertise, skills and attitude of responsibility. Through this research, will have an impact on improving the quality of the design performance of Architects in Jakarta. Next will be highly expected through the results of quality design that will produce buildings that are reliable in serving the needs of occupant space in Jakarta. / Seiring dengan kemajuan dan pembangunan yang terjadi di Indonesia, profesi Arsitek perlu mendapat perhatian di masyarakat awam. Peran arsitek di dalam kehidupan masyarakat sangat penting oleh karena peran Arsitek yang lebih dulu mengenal klien dan berdampak kepada masyarakat, ikut memberi kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan berperan dalam membentuk tatanan kehidupan manusia yang lebih baik di masa mendatang. Untuk itulah, penelitian ini menyoroti peran Arsitek secara profesional di lingkngan DKI Jakarta yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja perancangan proyek bangunan gedung tinggi di DKI Jakarta. Permasalahan penelitian ini yang akan diselesaikan, yaitu: merefleksikan bagaimana potret keprofesian Arsitek sebagai perancang secara khusus di DKI Jakarta, dan mengidentifikasi faktor dan variabel penting profesi Arsitek secara khusus yang menangani proyek bangunan gedung tinggi di Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Metodologi penelitian ini dilakukan melalui proses penelitian yang sistematis, berupa: kajian awal potret isyu pada bangunan gedung tinggi di DKI Jakarta, kajian potret peran Arsitek di DKI Jakarta, mengidentifikasi faktor dan variabel Arsitek, serta melakukan kajian analisis awal melalui pilot project yang direncanakan. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, komparatif dan dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini akan menghasilkan kajian yang berdampak penting bagi perancangan bangunan gedung tinggi di DKI Jakarta. Responden terpilih para perancang profesional di DKI Jakarta menjadi sumber data primer kajian penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian adalah teridentifikasi variabel-variabel penting peran arsitek yaitu: kewajiban umum, kewajiban profesi arsitek terhadap pengguna jasa, kewajiban profesi arsitek terhadap profesi, kewajiban profesi arsitek terhadap pengguna jasa, kewajiban profesi arsitek terhadap stakeholder terkait, leadership, dan manajemen proyek. Hasil pembahasan penelitian ini ditemukan 3 variabel penentu pengaruh peran arsitek, yaitu: (1) X11 adalah kegiatan perencanaan dan perancangan bertumpu pada penggalian masalah, mengungkapkan masalah dan memecahkan masalah ke dalam bentuk gambar, (2) X13 adalah tahap konsepsi, tahap pra-rancangan, tahap rancangan pelaksanaan, tahap pembuatan dokumen pelaksanaan, tahap pelelangan, tahap pengawasan berkala, (3) X34 adalah Profesionalisme Arsitek dalam hal keahlian, ketrampilan dan sikap tanggung jawab. Melalui hasil penelitian ini, akan berdampak kepada peningkatan kualitas kinerja perancangan para Arsitek di DKI Jakarta. Selanjutnya akan sangat diharapkan melalui hasil perancangan yang berkualitas akan menghasilkan bangunan gedung yang handal dalam melayani kebutuhan ruang penghuni di DKI Jakarta.
