Latar Belakang: Joint Commission International/JCI menetapkan komunikasi merupakan salah satu dari enam tujuan keselamatan pasien (International Patient Safety Goals/IPSG) yang sekarang menjadi pegangan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) di hampir seluruh rumah sakit di dunia. komunikasi SBAR merupakan metode komunikasi yang dilakukan perawat saat melakukan timbang terima keperawatan, yang terdiri dari Situation, Background, Assessment and Recommendation. Timbang terima adalah salah satu bentuk komunikasi serah terima yang dilakukan oleh perawat dengan teman sejawat dalam menyampaikan tentang kondisi klien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran pelaksanaan metode komunikasi SBAR saat timbang terima keperawatan di satu Rumah Sakit Swasta di Indonesia Bagian Tengah. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Jumlah sampel 42 ditentukan dengan rumus Slovin. Instrumen dalam penelitian adalah satu lembar check list observasi yang terdiri dari empat domain dan 15 pernyataan. Dari penelitian dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa sebagian besar responden melakukan metode komunikasi SBAR saat timbang terima keperawatan dengan sangat baik, yaitu sebnayak 18 orang (43%). Pembahasan, hasil penelitian dalam kategori sangat baik karena dipengaruhi oleh unsur pengawasan atau pelaksaan komunikasi yang dipimpin oleh head nurse atau nurse incharge = Background: The Joint Commission International/JCI stipulates that communication is one of the six patient safety goals (International Patient Safety Goals / IPSG) which are now the guidelines Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in almost all hospitals in the world. Weighing accept is one form of handover communication carried out by nurses with colleagues in conveying about the client's condition. The purpose of this study was to identify the description of the implementation of the SBAR communication method when weighing up nursing in the inpatient room at a private hospital in Central Indonesia. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The number of samples 42 is determined by the Slovin formula. The instrument in the study was an observation checklist sheet consisting of four domains and 15 statements. From the research, it was found that the majority of respondents conducted the SBAR communication method when weighing up nursing very well, which was 18 people (43%). Discussion, the results of the study in the category are very good because it is influenced by the elements of communication or implementation of communication led by the head nurse or nurse in charge.
