Abstract

Latar Belakang: Infeksi nosokomial merupakan salah satu penyebab meningkatnya angka kesakitan dan kematian di rumah sakit, perawat berinteraksi 24 jam dengan pasien memiliki peranan yang cukup besar dalam kejadian infeksi nosokomial. Cuci tangan merupakan salah satu langkah paling efektif untuk mencegah penyebaran infeksi nosokomial. Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran kepatuhan perawat dalam pelaksanaan praktik lima momen mencuci tangan di Satu Rumah Sakit Swasta di Indonesia Tengah. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis univariat dan studi observasional menggunakan checklist observasi five moment WHO. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian 30 responden. Hasil: Keseluruhan observasi I, II dan III didapatkan momen 1 (73%), momen 2 (67%), momen 3 (93%), momen 4 (83%), dan momen 5 (67%). Kesimpulan kepatuhan tertinggi pada momen 3 dan terendah pada momen 2 dan momen 5. Analisa: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa momen 1, momen 2, dan momen 5 merupakan momen yang jarang dilaksanakan oleh perawat. Diskusi: Ketidakpatuhan perawat dalam melaksanakan lima momen mencuci tangan dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya transmisi bakteri dari tangan perawat ke tangan pasien. Saran dalam penelitian ini perawat diharapkan dapat melaksanakan lima momen mencuci tangan dengan benar guna mengurangi terjadinya penyebaran infeksi = Background: Nosocomial infection is one of the causes of increasing morbidity and mortality in hospitals, nurses interacting 24 hours with patients have a significant role in the incidence of nosocomial infection. Hand washing is one of the most effective steps to prevent the spread of nosocomial infections. Purpose: This study was to find an overview of compliance in the implementation of the five Practice nurses a moment of hand washing in a private hospital in Central Indonesia. Research methods: The research method use a quatitative descriptive design with univariate analysis and conduct observational study using the five moment hand hygiene checklist by World Health Organization (WHO). The sample that will be required are 30. Results: The overall observation I, II and III obtained a moment 1 (73%), moments 2 (67%), moment 3 (93%), moments 4 (83 %), and moments 5 (67%). Conclusion The highest compliance at the moment 3 (93%) and the lowest in the moment 2 (67%) and moments 5 (67%). Analysis: based on the results of the study suggested that the moments 1, moments 2 and moments 5 was the lowest moment of the most not done by nurses. Discussion: The incompliance of nurses five moments handhygine cause the bacteria transmission from nurses to patient’s hand. Suggestions in this study are that nurses expected implement five moments washing the hands to reduce risk of the spread of infection.
