Abstract

Penelitian didasari oleh hasil observasi awal di mana peneliti menemukan kesenjangan dalam penerapan Standar Prosedur Operasional (SPO) lima benar dalam pemberian obat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran kepatuhan perawat dalam penerapan SPO lima benar pemberian obat di satu Rumah Sakit Swasta Indonesia Bagian Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif sebagai metode penelitian dengan analisis univariat dan melakukan observasi menggunakan checklist lima benar pmeberian obat untuk pengumpulan data. Terdapat 49 responden yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menemukan 20 responden (40.8%) patuh dan 29 responden (59.2%) tidak patuh dalam menerapkan SPO lima benar pemberian obat. Penerapan prinsip benar pasien diperoleh sebanyak 33 responden (67.3%) patuh dan 16 responden (32.7%) tidak patuh, dan tindakan benar obat ditemukan 33 responden (67.3%) patuh dan 16 responden (32.7%) tidak patuh, sedangkan untuk benar dosis sebanyak 42 responden (85.7%) patuh dan tujuh responden (14.3%) tidak patuh, kemudian untuk penerapan benar waktu sebanyak 89.9% (n=44) patuh dan 10.2% (n=5) tidak patuh, dan benar rute ditemukan bahwa 100% (n=49) patuh. Disamping itu, peneliti menemukan setidaknya terdapat satu komponen dari tindakan lima benar yang tidak dilakukan oleh responden secara keseluruhan. Peneliti berkesimpulan bahwa tindakan pemberian obat oleh perawat di ruang rawat inap di Satu RS Swasta Indonesia Bagian Tengah belum seluruhnya mematuhi prinsip lima benar sebagai SPO yang berlaku. Kolaborasi antar pihak rumah sakit, perawat dan pasien dalam menyelenggarakan praktik pemberian obat yang aman sesuai SPO perlu dikembangkan = This research based on the initial observation where researchers found the repugnance in applying Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of the five rights of medication administration by nurses. The purpose of the study was to identify the description of nurse compliance in the application of the five rights of medication administration standard operational procedures in a private hospital in central Indonesia. This research used descriptive quantitative as a method with univariate analysis and observation with five rights of medication administration checklist. There are 49 respondents that involved in this study. Based on this research, there are 20 respondents (40.8%) are compliance and 29 respondents (59.2) are non-compliance. Implementation of right patient found that 33 respondents (67.3%) are compliance and 16 respondents (33.7%) are compliance, right drug obtained as many as 33 respondents (65.3%) are compliance and 17 respondents (34.7%) are non-compliance, right dose of 43 respondents (87.8%) are compliance and six respondents (12.2%) are compliance, right time shows that 89.9% (n = 44) compliance and 10.2% (n = 5) non-compliance, and the last right route found that 100% (n = 49) compliance. Researchers found there was at least one component of the five correct actions that were not done by the respondents as a whole. In conclusion that medication administration by nurses in the inpatient department in a Private Hospital in Central Indonesia has not fully obeyed the principle of five rights as the SOP. Collaboration between hospitals, nurses and patients in conducting safe medication administration practices in accordance to SOP needs to be developed.
