Abstract

Latar belakang: Plebitis menjadi indikator mutu pelayanan minimal rumah sakit dengan standar kejadian ≤ 1,5% (Depkes RI, 2008). Di salah satu rumah sakit swasta di Indonesia Tengah, angka kejadian plebitis pada semua pasien yang dirawat pada April s/d Desember 2016 berjumlah 46 pasien dari 2877 (1,60%) yang terpasang kateter intravena. Angka ini di atas indikator mutu pelayanan minimal rumah sakit yang ditetapkan oleh Depkes. Dengan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya plebitis di rumah sakit ini diharapkan dapat membantu perawat dan tenaga kesehatan profesional yang lain untuk mencegah dan mengurangi angka kejadian plebitis. Tujuan: mendeskripsikan gambaran faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya plebitis pada pasien rawat inap di salah satu rumah sakit swasta di Indonesia Tengah. Metode Penelitian: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan jumlah sampel 26 orang. Metode pengumpulan data adalah dengan observasi dan dokumentasi menggunakan lembar observasi kateter intravena perifer yang telah teruji valid dan reliabel menggunakan agreement Kohen’s Kappa. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah univariat dan deskriptif frekuensi. Hasil: Pasien laki-laki berusia 18-65 tahun memiliki angka kejadian plebitis 42,3%. Sebanyak 92,3% pasien yang mendapatkan terapi cairan isotonis dan 88,64% yang mendapatkan obat-obatan analgetik mengalami plebitis. Lima puluh persen pasien yang terpasang infus di radialis mengalami plebitis. Ukuran kateter intravena 20 gauge dengan lama pemakaian 4-6 hari memiliki angka kejadian plebitis 34,6%. Rekomendasi: Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian korelasional untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara faktor-faktor penyebab plebitis dengan kejadian plebitis = Background: Phlebitis becomes an indicator of hospital minimum service quality with a standard incidence of ≤ 1.5% (MOH, 2008). At a private hospital in Central Indonesia, the incidence of phlebitis in all patients treated from April to December 2016 amounted to 46 patients from 2877 (1.60%) with intravenous catheters. This figure is above the hospital minimum service quality indicator set by the Ministry of Health. Identifying factors affecting the occurrence of phlebitis in Private Hospital in Central Indonesia is expected to assist nurses and other health professionals to prevent and reduce the incidence of phlebitis. Objective: describes the features of factors affecting the occurrence of phlebitis in hospitalized patients at one of Private Hospital in Central Indonesia. Method: The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. Sampling technique used is probability sampling with 26 samples. Methods of data collection were observation and documentation using peripheral intravenous catheter observation sheets tested valid and reliable using agreement Kohen's Kappa. Data analysis used is univariate and descriptive frequency. Results: Male patients aged 18-65 years had a phlebitis incidence of 42.3%. A total of 92.3% of patients who received isotonic fluid therapy and 88.64% who received analgesic drugs experienced phlebitis. Fifty percent of patients who have a radial infusion have phlebitis. The size of 20 gauge intravenous catheter with 4-6 days duration has 34.6% phlebitis incidence. Recommendation: The next researchers are recommended to conduct correlational research to determine the influencing factors causing phlebitis with the occurrence of phlebitis.
