Abstract

Latar belakang: Menurut World Health Organization (2005) mengatakan manajemen penggunaan obat berdasarkan prinsip pemberian obat 6 benar yaitu benar pasien, benar obat, benar dosis, benar cara pemberian, benar waktu pemberian dan benar dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian Barker, Flynn, Pepper dan Bartos (2002) di Auburn University, pada 36 fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan di Georgia dan Colorado, USA, menyatakan bahwa 605 dari 3216 dosis (19%) yang diberikan tidak sesuai order. Kesalahan dalam waktu pemberian obat sebesar 43% dan ditemukan kelalaian waktu pemberian sebanyak 30%, kesalahan dosis terjadi sebesar 17% dan 4% dengan pemberian obat yang tidak sesuai order; 7% dinilai berpotensial menyebabkan kerugian pada pasien.Tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran karakteristik dan pelaksanaan 6 benar pemberian obat di Ruang Rawat Inap Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang. Metode: mengunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel 50 orang. Setelah kuesioner selesai di isi, peneliti akan menganalisa data menggunakan komputer. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil pelaksanaan pemberian obat dengan prinsip enam benar yang dilakukan perawat menunjukkan bahwa dari 50 perawat mampu melakukan pelaksanaan enam benar pemberian obat yang terdiri dari benar pasien dengan kategori baik sebanyak 42 orang (89,0%), benar dosis dengan kategori baik sebanyak 49 orang (98,0%), benar jenis obat dengan kategori baik sebanyak 49 orang (98,0%), benar waktu dengan baik sebanyak 46 orang (92,0%), benar cara pemberian dengan kategori baik sebanyak 50 orang (100%), benar dokumentasi dengan kategori baik sebanyak 47 orang (94,0%) / Background: According to the World Health Organization (2005) said the management of the use of drugs based on the principle of giving drugs 6 correct that is true patient, true medicine, correct dose, correct way of giving, correct delivery time and correct documentation. The results of Barker, Flynn, Pepper and Bartos (2002) studies at Auburn University, at 36 healthcare facilities in Georgia and Colorado, USA, suggest that 605 of the 3216 doses (19%) administered did not match the order. Error in the time of administration of the drug by 43% and found the negligence of the time of administration as much as 30%, dose error occurred by 17% and 4% with inappropriate drug delivery order; 7% were assessed as potentially causing harm to patients. Objective: To identify the description of the characteristics and the implementation of 6 correct administration of drug in Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital in Palembang. Method: using quantitative descriptive method with sample number 50 people. After the questionnaire finished in the content, the researcher will analyze the data using the computer. Results and Discussion: The results of the implementation of the provision of drugs with the principle of six correct conducted nurses showed that from 50 nurses able to perform the implementation of the correct six drugs consisting of true patients with good category as many as 42 people (89.0%), true dose with good category as many as 49 people (98.0%), true type of medicine with good category as many as 49 people (98.0%), true time well as many as 46 people (92.0%), true way of giving with good category as many as 50 people 100%), true documentation with good category as many as 47 people (94.0%).
