Abstract

Pasien, penjaga pasien, pengunjung dan petugas kesehatan merupakan kelompok yang paling berisiko terkena infeksi nosokomial, karena infeksi ini dapat menular dari pasien ke petugas kesehatan, dari pasien ke pegunjung atau keluarga ataupun dari petugas ke pasien. Mencuci tangan merupakan tindakan yang dilakukan dalam usaha untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi nosokomial. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran pengetahuan mencuci tangan pada penjaga pasien di ruang rawat inap. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah penjaga pasien di ruang rawat lantai 5 Rumah Sakit Siloam Bali yang menunggu pasien >1 hari dan berusia >13 tahun, mampu berkomunikasi dengan baik, serta mampu membaca dan menulis. Sampel berjumlah 74 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang dibuat oleh peneliti dan telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas yang dibagikan kepada 30 responden dengan hasil nilai r di antara 0,3-0,7 dan nilai Cronbach`s Alpha > 0,8. Hasilnya dari 74 sampel didapati hasil pengetahuan baik (46%) dan pengetahuan kurang (54%). Oleh karena itu diharapkan untuk peneliti selanjutnya melakukan penelitian dapat menjadi referensi untuk melihat pengetahuan baik dan kurang pada penjaga pasien di ruang rawat inap / Patients, patient carers, visitors and health workers are among the groups most at risk of nosocomial infection, as these infections can be transmitted from patient to health care provider, from patient to patient or family or from officer to patient. Hand washing is an act done in an attempt to prevent the occurrence of nosocomial infections. This research uses descriptive research design that aims to identify the description of handwashing knowledge on patient guard in the inpatient room. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research is the patient guard at the 5th floor treatment of Siloam Hospital Bali waiting for the patient> 1 day and age> 13 years old, able to communicate well, and able to read and write. The sample is 74 respondents. This study uses questionnaires made by researchers and has tested the validity and reliability distributed to 30 respondents with the result value of r 0.3-0.7 and the value of Cronbach's Alpha > 0.8. The results of 74 samples found good knowledge level (46%) and knowledge level less (54%). It is therefore desirable for subsequent researchers to conduct research can be a reference to see both the level of knowledge and less on the patient guard in the inpatient room.
