Abstract

Hand washing is a process of mechanically removing hand debris using an ordinary soap and running water. Hand washing is an important thing to do, especially when in the hospital. It is not only done by medical personnel, but patients also need to wash their hands. There are six steps for conducting hand washing to properly wash your hands. In this study, the patient's knowledge will influence his attitude and his way of doing hand washing. The purpose of this study was to see how to identify the patient's attitude picture of the six handwashing steps in the IPD 1 inpatient room. The method of this research is using quantitative descriptive method using a questionnaire. The sampel of this study was patient at IPD 1 Siloam Bali by using a purposive sampling which includes inclusion and exclusion criteria. This research used a univariate data analysis. The result of this study showed that the patient in IPD 1 ward has a lack of attitude in doing the six steps of hand washing (23 respondents / 57.5%) / Mencuci tangan adalah suatu proses secara mekanis melepaskan kotoran dan debris tangan dengan menggunakan sabun biasa dan air yang mengalir. Cuci tangan merupakan hal penting yang di lakukan, terutama saat berada di Rumah Sakit. Cuci tangan tidak hanya di lakukan oleh petugas medis saja, namun pasien juga perlu untuk melakukan cuci tangan. Dalam mencuci tangan terdapat enam langkah benar melakukan cuci tangan. Dalam penelitian ini, pengetahuan pasien berpengaruh akan sikap dan caranya dalam melakukan cuci tangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat adanya gambaran sikap pasien tentang enam langkah mencuci tangan di ruang rawat inap IPD 1 . Menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan kuisioner pertanyaan tertutup, sampel yang di gunakan adalah pasien rawat inap IPD 1 Siloam Bali, menggunakan Purposive sampling yang mencakup kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Pengajuan ijin melakukan penelitian kepada rumah sakit Siloam Bali. Dengan pengolahan data univariat. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah di lakukan di dapatkan hasilnya yaitu bahwa pasien di ruang rawat inap IPD 1 memiliki sikap kurang dalam melakukan enam langkah benar mencuci tangan dengan jumlah 23 responden dan nilai 57,5 %.
