Abstract
Early Warning Score (EWS) is an early detection system of deteriorating patients based on patient clinical changes through observation of all physiological changes of the patient. In this case, the nurse must be trained to recognize and respond quickly in response to the deterioration of the patient. Therefore, the nurse's attitude toward the use of EWS is important in assessing the patient's physiological condition through a comprehensive assessment. The objective is to know the four levels of attitudes that nurses have in using EWS at the Siloam Hospital Labuan Bajo ward. The method used is descriptive quantitative survey with total sampling technique. The sample consisted of 26 nurses consisting of 18 nurses at InPatient Departement (IPD) and 8 nurses at Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The research instrument used is a questionnaire with Likert scale containing 20 positive statements that have been tested the validity and reliability. The result of the research shows that the attitude of nurses on the aspects of receiving, responding, appreciating and being responsible is balanced, 50% have positive attitude and 50% have negative attitude. Research suggestions for the next researcher to show the final result in the percentage of favorable or unfavorable / Early Warning Score (EWS) adalah suatu sistem deteksi dini perburukan pasien yang didasarkan pada perubahan klinis pasien melalui pengamatan terhadap semua perubahan fisiologis pasien.
