Abstract

Motivation as a behavior that everyone has to achieve a certain goal. And become one of the factors that influence nurses to obedient in the implementation of hand hygiene five moments. Hand washing is part of the International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG), which needs to be properly applied to prevent patients from losses from hand-borne infections. The purpose of this study to explore the motivation of nurses in the implementation of hand hygiene five moments in ICU room Siloam Hospitals Lippo Cikarang. The method used is qualitative phenomenology with total sampling that is 9 people, and using semi-structured interview sheet manual as research instrument. The research results found 2 sub themes 2 main themes are 'intrisic' and 'extrinsic' in positive and negative statement which affect the motivation of nurses. Suggestions for future researchers are to bring up a similar theme or methodology both qualitatively and quantitatively by discussing other factors that influence the compliance of hand hygiene five moments implementation in addition to motivation factors / Motivasi sebagai perilaku yang dimiliki setiap orang untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Dan menjadi salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi perawat untuk patuh dalam penerapan hand hygiene five moments. Mencuci tangan merupakan bagian dari International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG), yang perlu diterapkan dengan benar guna menghindarkan pasien dari kerugian akibat infeksi yang ditularkan melalui tangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggali motivasi perawat dalam penerapan hand hygiene five moments di ruangan ICU Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Cikarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenologi dengan total sampling yaitu perawat sejumlah 9 orang, dan menggunakan panduan lembar wawancara semi terstruktur sebagai instrument penelitian. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 2 tema utama yaitu ‘intrisik’ dan ‘ekstrinsik’ dalam bentuk pernyataan positif dan negatif yang memengaruhi motivasi perawat Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya adalah untuk untuk mengangkat tema atau metodologi serupa baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif dengan membahas faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan penerapan hand hygiene five moment selain faktor motivasi.
