Abstract

Institute of Medicine (IOM) in the research of Tajuddin, Sudirman, & Maidin (2012) there are 7,000 people every year in America died of medication error. Based on the National Patient Safety Incidence Report (PERSI congress, 2007) errors in drug delivery were ranked first (24.8%) of the 10 reported incidents. The incidence of medication errors data in Siloam Hospitas Manado from July to December 2016 was 1631 incidents with the two highest incidence types of drugs not given (88%) and mis-delivery (9%). In January to May 2017 there were 1017 incidents of treatment discrepancy and wrong time error of 43 cases. The purpose of this study was to find out how the nurse's perception of the correct application of time in drug delivery. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Data were analyzed using Thematic Analysis from Braun and Clarke. The result of the research is the nurses understand well about the right time in drug administration, found the delay factor of the drug that is from the hospital side, the patient side and the family, the health officer, the procedure, the work environment, and the psychological effect of the nurse and the patient emotion. Suggestions are carried out internal evaluations to improve the timely implementation of drug delivery, in addition to cooperation with distributors in ensuring the availability of drugs / Institute of Medicine (IOM) di dalam penelitian Tajuddin, Sudirman, & Maidin (2012) Sekitar 7.000 orang per tahun di Amerika meninggal karena medication error. Berdasarkan Laporan Peta Nasional Insiden Keselamatan Pasien (kongres PERSI, 2007) kesalahan dalam pemberian obat menduduki peringkat pertama (24.8%) dari 10 besar insiden yang dilaporkan. Data insiden medication errors di Siloam Hospitas Manado pada bulan Juli sampai Desember 2016 sebanyak 1631 insiden dengan dua jenis insiden tertinggi yaitu obat tidak diberikan (88%) dan keliru waktu pemberian (9%). Pada bulan Januari sampai Mei 2017 tercatat sebanyak 1017 kejadian ketidaksesuaian pengobatan dan salah waktu pemberian (wrong time error) sebanyak 43 kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi perawat mengenai penerapan benar waktu dalam pemberian obat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Tematik Analisis dari Braun dan Clarke. Hasil penelitian adalah perawat mengerti dengan baik mengenai benar waktu dalam pemberian obat, ditemukan faktor keterlambatan pemberian obat yaitu dari pihak rumah sakit, pihak pasien dan keluarga, petugas kesehatan, Prosedur, lingkungan kerja, adapun efek terjadi kepada psikologis perawat dan emosi pasien. Saran dilakukan evaluasi internal untuk memperbaiki penerapan benar waktu dalam pemberian obat, selain itu diperlukan kerjasama dengan distributor dalam menjamin ketersediaan obat.
