Abstract

Background: Nosocomial infection is an infection obtained from hospital services. The incidence of nosocomial infection at Makassar Siloam Hospital is always there every year. The incidence of nosocomial infection from 2015 to 2017 at Siloam Makassar Hospital is 9.09%. Therefore, the nurse as a health worker who 1x24 hours of patient care plays a major role in prevention and reduce the risk of spread of nosocomial infections. Such behavior can be affected by several factors. These factors include knowledge, attitude and availability of facilities. Objective: This research is to know the description of the factors that influence the behavior of nurses in preventing nosocomial infection in the seventh floor ward of Siloam Hospitals Makassar. Research Method: This research uses descriptive quantitative method with cross sectional approach. Research population of all nurse with sample in research counted 30 respondents with sampling technique using total sampling. Methods of collecting research data using questionnaires obtained from research Fakhrul Razi (2011) are modified and tested the validity and reliability. The study was conducted from November to December 2017. Results: The results of this study obtained most knowledge with sufficient category (63.3%), description of good category attitude (70%) and good category facilities (50%). From the results of this study recommended to further researchers to be able to identify the relationship of each factor that has been studied / Latar Belakang: Infeksi nosokomial merupakan infeksi yang diperoleh dari pelayanan di rumah sakit. Kejadian infeksi nosokomial di Rumah Sakit Siloam Makassar selalu ada setiap tahun. Angka kejadian infeksi nosokomial tahun 2015 hingga 2017 di Rumah Sakit Siloam Makassar sebanyak 9,09%. Oleh karena itu, perawat sebagai tenaga kesehatan yang 1x24 jam merawat pasien berperan besar dalam pencegahan dan mengurangi resiko penyebaran infeksi nosokomial. Perilaku tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Faktor-faktor tersebut diantaranya pengetahuan, sikap dan ketersediaan fasilitas. Tujuan: Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku perawat dalam mencegah infeksi nosokomial di ruang rawat inap lantai 7 Siloam Hospitals Makassar. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian semua perawat dengan sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 30 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan kuesioner yang diperoleh dari penelitian Fakhrul Razi (2011) yang dimodifikasi dan diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November sampai Desember 2017. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini dapatkan sebagian besar pengetahuan dengan kategori cukup (63,3%), gambaran sikap kategori baik (70%) dan fasilitas kategori baik (50%). Dari hasil penelitian ini direkomendasikan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk dapat mengidentifikasi hubungan dari setiap faktor yang sudah diteliti.
