Abstract

EWS is a scoring system that is used to assess the condition of the physiology of the patient that consist of: respiratory rate, heart rate, systolic blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation and neurological status Every medical officer need to give special attention to the valuation of EWS, including nurses who have the role of care giver and who is doing the study of the vital signs of the patient. Data collection is done by a method of quantitative descriptive with cross-sectional approach. Sampling technique using total sampling at 30 nurses. Data collection is done by observation techniques using sheets of observation checklist assessment early warning score in accordance with SOP Siloam Hospital Dhirga Surya. The results showed the level of compliance of nurses critical areas in the implementation assesment of EWS at Sioam Dhirga Surya Hospital 50% dutifully and 50% is pretty well behaved. As a suggestion for nursing students and nurses is expected to increase his knowledge by reading the article on the EWS, so when can apply the EWS in compliance with applicable SOP at hospitals / EWS adalah sistem skoring yang digunakan untuk menilai kondisi fiologis pasien yang terdiri dari : laju pernafasan, denyut jantung, tekanan darah sistolik, suhu, status neurologis dan saturasi oksigen. Setiap petugas medis perlu memberikan perhatian yang khusus bagi penilaian EWS, termasuk perawat yang memiliki peran care giver dan yang melakukan pengkajian tanda-tanda vital pasien. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan total sampling pada 30 orang perawat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi menggunakan lembar ceklis observasi pengkajian early warning score sesuai dengan SOP rumah sakit Siloam Dhirga Surya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kepatuhan perawat critical area dalam penerapan pengkajian EWS di rumah sakit Siloam Dhirga Surya 50% patuh dan 50% cukup patuh. Sebagai saran bagi mahasiswa keperawatan dan perawat diharapkan untuk menambah pengetahuan dengan membaca artikel mengenai EWS, sehingga saat dapat menerapkan pengkajian EWS sesuai dengan SOP yang berlaku di rumah sakit.
