Abstract

Early Warning Score (EWS) is system of assistance requests to address early patient health problems. The purpose of this research is to explore and know in depth about the level of nurse knowledge in the application of EWS in the treatment room. This research uses a quantitative method design descriptive with taking sampling technique used by researchers is total sampling. Research was conducted to nurses in the treatment room of Siloam Hospitals Dhirga Surya as many as 37 nurses. Data collection this study using questionnaires made by researchers, questionnaires has been tested validity and reliability with minimum 30 samples to nurses outpatient room, ICU and emergency. The result research shows the level knowledge nurses in the application of EWS in the 2nd, 5th and 6th floor treatment rooms Siloam Hospitals Dhirga Surya almost half the well knowledgeable nurses are amounted to16 nurses (43,2%), most the enough knowledgeable nurses are amounted to 20 nurses (54,1%) and less knowledgeable nurses amounted 1 nurse (2.7%).The researcher hope the results of research can be used to understand the description of nurse knowledge level in the application EWS in the treatment rooms of 2nd, 5th and 6th floor of Siloam Hospitals Dhirga Surya / Early Warning Score (EWS) merupakan suatu sistem permintaan bantuan untuk mengatasi masalah kesehatan pasien secara dini. EWS didasarkan atas penilaian terhadap perubahan keadaan pasien melalui pengamatan yang sistematis terhadap semua perubahan fisiologi pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengetahui secara mendalam tentang tingkat pengetahuan perawat dalam penerapan EWS di ruang perawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif desain deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan peneliti yaitu total sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada perawat di ruang perawatan rumah sakit Siloam Dhirga Surya sebanyak 37 perawat. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang dibuat oleh peneliti, kuesioner sudah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan minimal 30 sampel kepada perawat diruangan rawat jalan, ICU dan emergency. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa tingkat pengetahuan perawat dalam penerapan EWS diruangan perawatan lantai 2, 5 dan 6 rumah sakit Siloam Dhirga Surya hampir separuhnya perawat berpengetahuan baik yaitu berjumlah 16 perawat (43,2%), sebagian besar perawat berpengetahuan cukup berjumlah 20 perawat (54,1%) dan perawat berpengetahuan kurang berjumlah 1 perawat (2.7%). Peneliti berharap hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk lebih memahami tentang gambaran tingkat pengetahuan perawat dalam penerapan EWS di ruang perawatan lantai 2, 5 dan 6 rumah sakit Siloam Dhirga Surya.
