Background: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 is a new type of disease that has not been previously identified in humans. The World Health Organization officially states that COVID-19 is a pandemic and is a world health problem. The incidence of COVID in Indonesia is increasing day by day, this is because the level of knowledge of the prevention of COVID-19 in the community is still lacking, the prevention in question is such as taking steps to wash hands properly, using masks correctly, and limiting distance physical or physical distancing correctly. The level of lack of knowledge in the community which can be the cause of the chain of transmission of COVID-19 is increasing day by day. Research objectives: To determine the level of public knowledge of prevention COVID-19 in sub-district Binong city Tangerang. Research Methods: This study uses quantitative research methods with descriptivel design. The sample in this study amounted to 67 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this research is univariate analysis. This research will be conducted on January-April 2020. The result: The overall results obtained from the research on the level of public knowledge regarding the prevention of COVID-19 (3M) in RT 005 RW 003 Binong, Tangerang Regency are good with result of the knowledge level of the know category as many as 87 people (90,6%), the level of knowledge in the understanding category of 62 people (64,6%), and the level of knowledge in the application categories as many as 60 people (62,5%). Discussion: People in RT 005 RW 003 Binong, Tangerang Regency have a good level of knowledge and application, so it is hoped that it can become one of the basic efforts to break the COVID-19 chain / Latar belakang : Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh SARS-CoV-2. World Health Organization resmi menyatakan bahwa COVID-19 adalah suatu pandemik dan merupakan masalah kesehatan dunia. Angka kejadian COVID di Indonesia semakin hari semakin meningkat dikarenakan tingkat pengetahuan terhadap pencegahan COVID-19 pada masyarakat masih kurang. Pencegahan yang dimaksud adalah mencuci tangan, penggunaan masker, dan melakukan pembatasan jarak fisik atau physical distancing dengan benar. Tujuan penelitian : untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap pencegahan COVID-19 di Kelurahan Binong Kabupaten Tangerang. Metode penelitian : menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 96 responden dengan teknik analisa data analisis univariat. Penelitian ini dilakukan Januari-April 2021. Hasil : hasil yang didapatkan berdasarkan karakteristik responden yaitu, jenis kelamin, jenis pekerjaan dan tingkat pendidikan adalah baik dengan hasil tingkat pengetahuan kategori tahu sebanyak 87 orang (90,6%), tingkat pengetahuan kategori memahami sebanyak 62 orang (64,6%), dan tingkat pengetahuan kategori aplikasi sebanyak 60 orang (62,5%). Kesimpulan: tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pencegahan COVID-19 sudah baik secara pengetahuan maupun aplikasi, sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu upaya pemutusan rantai COVID-19.
