Abstract
Saran: Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan tentang faktor risiko hipertensi pada mahasiswa dengan IMT obesitas / Background: Hypertension is a "silent killer" because it doesn't show symptoms, but usually the symptoms are damage to blood vessels in certain systems. One of the risk factors for hypertension is obesity. Riskesdas data (2018) shows that nationally the prevalence of obesity in adults (≥18 years) has increased by 21.8%. The prevalence in Indonesia is increasing due to uncontrolled BMI. Patients who don't make lifestyle changes based on knowledge. By increasing one's knowledge, the behavior of preventing and controlling hypertension will be better. Research Objectives: To find out the description of student knowledge about hypertension with obesity BMI. Research Methods: This study uses descriptive quantitative research methods and uses the Total Sampling method on 50 obese students at one university in Tangerang. The research instrument is a questionnaire with 15 statements, the data analysis technique used is univariate analysis. Results: Univariate results showed that 33 (66%) respondents had a high level of knowledge and 17 (34%) respondents had a low level of knowledge. Conclusion: From the results of the calculations carried out it has been obtained and it can be seen that in this study the respondents have high knowledge. Suggestion: The researcher is expected to do more research on the relationship between the level of knowledge of the risk factors of hypertension in students with obesity BMI.
