Penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) merupakan hal yang paling wajib dalam penanganan pasien di masa pandemi ini. Penggunaan APD akan membantu agar tenaga kesehatan terlindung dari penularan virus pada saat melakukan perawatan, adapun beberapa tingkatan yang perlu di perhatikan dalam hal ini, tingkatan dari setiap APD ini juga merupakan wujud dalam penanganan setiap tingkatan pasien. Dari hasil interview 10 mahasiswa profesi keperawatan didapatkan hasil bahwa kurangnya pengetahuan tentang tingkatan penggunaan APD di tandai dengan 10 mahasiswa tidak dapat menentukan APD yang mereka gunakan berada pada tingkatan berapa dan tidak mampu menyebutkan dengan tepat APD apa saja yang digunakan dari setiap level penggunaan APD. Hasil interview selanjutnya 2 dari 10 mahasiswa tidak mampu menjawab tentang berapa banyak tingkatan APD. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa profesi keperawatan di salah satu universitas swasta Indonesia tentang tingkatan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian yaitu deskriptif analitik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 224 mahasiswa profesi keperawatan ETP 2017 area Jabotabek dengan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa univariat. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu dari 144 responden yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik tentang penggunaan APD di masa pandemi COVID-19 yaitu sebanyak 25 responden (17,4%), yang memiliki pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 113 responden (78,5%) dan yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 6 responden (4,2%). Peneliti menyarankan kepada peneliti selanjutnya agar bisa mengembangkan tingkat pengetahuan sampai dengan tingkat aplikasi dan sampel yang digunakan lebih bervariasi.
