Latar Belakang: Coronavirus disease 2019 atau COVID-19 adalah virus yang menginfeksi sistem pernapasan manusia. COVID-19 dapat dicegah penularannya dengan physical distancing. Orang yang tidak menerapkan physical distancing akan mudah untuk terpapar dengan COVID-19. Fenomena yang ditemukan di salah satu Universitas Swasta Bagian Barat yaitu terdapat beberapa mahasiswa yang reaktif dan dua mahasiswa yang positif COVID-19. Tujuan Penelitian: untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang COVID-19 dengan perilaku physical distancing di salah satu universitas swasta di Indonesia Bagian Barat. Metode Penelitian: penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa di universitas swasta di Indonesia Bagian Barat dengan jumlah sampel yaitu 315 responden. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling dengan jumlah 176 sampel. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat, uji statistik dengan metode uji spearman. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang COVID-19 mayoritas baik yaitu 94%, variabel perilaku physical distancing mahasiswa mayoritas yaitu baik yaitu 85,2%, berdasarkan uji spearman dari kedua variabel didapatkan hasil (p=0,022). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan pada kedua variabel tersebut. Rekomendasi: Bagi penelitian selanjutnya, diharapkan penelitian ini bisa menjadi perbandingan atau sumber juga bisa menjadi inspirasi dalam meneliti hubungan tingkat pengetahuan tentang COVID-19 dengan perilaku physical distancing dengan menggunakan metode dan desain penelitian yang berbeda, dengan responden yang lebih luas/Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 is a virus that infects the human respiratory system. People who do not apply physical distancing will easily be exposed to COVID-19 The phenomenon found in one of the Western Private Universities is that there are several students who are reactive and two students who are positive for COVID-19. Aim: to determine the relationship between the level of student knowledge about COVID-19 and physical distancing behavior in a private university western part. Research Method: The research uses the quantitative correlational method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in the research, i.e. students in a private university in west region of Indonesia part with amount 315 samples. Sampling was done by simple random sampling with a total of 176 samples. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis, statistical tests used the Spearman test method. Results: The results showed that the majority of student knowledge variables about COVID-19 were good i.e 94%, the majority of students' physical distancing behavior variables were good i.e 85.2%, based on the Spearman test of the two variables obtained results (p = 0.022). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between these two variables.Recommendation: For further research, it is hoped that this research can be a comparison or a source of inspiration in examining the relationship between the level of knowledge about COVID-19 and physical distancing behavior using different research methods and designs.
