A Limited Liability Company that has become a Public Company, can carry out many corporate actions in the capital market sector, one of which is the stock split. Stock split basically does not change the capital structure of the company, but only changes the nominal value and the number of shares outstanding, but in practice, the stock split will be followed by changes in the capital structure stipulated in the Limited Liability Company Law. Public company need help from those who will support the implementation of the stock split, in this case the capital market supporting profession, one of which is the capital market notary. This writing is needed to know in detail the procedures for implementing stock split corporate action and the role and responsibility of capital market Notary in the corporate action. The research method in this thesis uses a type of normative legal research or library legal research. It can be concluded from this thesis, that stock split corporate action can be carried out with a General Meeting of Shareholders and Notary has an important role and responsibility in the process of implementing stock split corporate action, namely making Notary deeds and notice on changes to the Articles of Association of the Public Company to the Minister. To the knowledge of the author, there is no specific regulation or special circular letter governing the stock split, therefore the author hope that special regulation or circular for this corporate action can be enacted in the near future. / Perseroan Terbatas yang telah menjadi Perusahaan Terbuka, dapat melakukan banyak aksi korporasi di bidang pasar modal, salah satunya adalah pemecahan nilai nominal saham atau yang lebih dikenal dengan stock split. Stock split pada intinya tidak mengubah struktur permodalan dari perusahaan, melainkan hanya merubah nilai nominal dan jumlah saham yang beredar saja, tetapi pada praktiknya, stock split akan diikuti dengan perubahan struktur permodalan yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang Perseroan Terbatas. Perusahaan Terbuka memerlukan bantuan dari pihak-pihak yang akan mendukung terlaksananya stock split, dalam hal ini adalah profesi penunjang pasar modal, salah satunya adalah Notaris pasar modal. Penulisan ini diperlukan untuk mengetahui dengan rinci prosedur pelaksanaan aksi korporasi stock split dan peran serta tanggung jawab Notaris pasar modal dalam aksi korporasi tersebut. Metode penelitian dalam tesis ini menggunakan jenis penelitian hukum normatif atau penelitian hukum kepustakaan. Dapat diambil kesimpulan dari tesis ini, bahwa aksi korporasi stock split dapat dilakukan dengan Rapat Umum Pemegang Saham dan Notaris mempunyai peran dan tanggung jawab penting dalam proses pelaksanaan aksi korporasi stock split, yaitu pembuatan akta Notaris dan pemberitahuan atas perubahan anggaran dasar Perusahaan Terbuka ke Menteri. Sepengetahuan penulis belum ada peraturan atau surat edaran khusus yang mengatur tentang stock split, oleh karena itu penulis berharap dapat segera diundangkan peraturan atau surat edaran khusus untuk aksi korporasi ini.
