Abstract

Latar Belakang: Stres adalah masalah psikologi yang sering terjadi pada setiap orang. Prevalensi stres pada mahasiswa kedokteran cukup tinggi yang disebabkan oleh tekanan dalam akademik atau pendidikan dan tingkat stres yang sedang pada masa pandemi Covid-19 sebanyak 51,35% akibat pembelajaran daring. Salah satu akibat dari stres yaitu dapat terjadinya perubahan indeks massa tubuh yang dapat mengarah ke underweight, overweight dan obesitas. Perubahan indeks massa tubuh berhubungan dengan risiko kesehatan di masa yang akan datang. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres dengan indeks massa tubuh mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan desain studi potong lintang (cross-sectional). Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi sebanyak minimal 117 sampel. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang kemudian akan dianalisis dengan metode Chi-square menggunakan SPSS 24. Hasil Penelitian: Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji Chi-Square tidak menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara tingkat stres terhadap indeks massa tubuh(p-value:0.953). Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat stres terhadap indeks massa tubuh pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan pada masa pandemi Covid-19. / Background: Stress is a psychological problem that often happens to everyone. The prevalence of stress in medical students is quite high due to pressure in academics or education and the level of stress during Covid-19 pandemic is 51.35% due to online learning. One of the consequences of stress is the change in body mass index that can lead to underweight, overweight and obesity. Changes in body mass index associated with health risks in the future. Aim: To evaluate the correlation between stress level and body mass index in Medical Students of Pelita Harapan University during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional study design. The sample in this study are Medical Students of Pelita Harapan University who fit the inclusion criteria at least 117 samples. Data obtained through a questionnaire which will then be analyzed by the Chi-square method using SPSS 24.0 Results: Based on Chi-square analyze test, there was no correlation between stress level and underweight body mass index(p-value:0.953) Conclusion: There is no significant correlation between stress level and body mass index in Medical Students of Pelita Harapan University during the Covid-19 pandemic.
