Sebagai pengasuh utama dari anak yang memiliki down syndrome, tidak mudah bagi ibu untuk menerima diri memiliki anak yang berbeda. Cara ibu menerima akan mempengaruhi pengasuhan dan cara pandang ibu terhadap kualitas hidupnya. Sebaliknya, dukungan emosional, materi dan cara pengasuhan yang termasuk dalam domain kualitas hidup akan mengakibatkan ibu dapat menerima dirinya atau tidak. Untuk itu maka diperlukan penelitian mengenai hubungan penerimaan diri dengan kualitas hidup ibu yang memiliki anak dengan down syndrome. Metode kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling dilakukan terhadap 75 ibu dengan anak down syndrome dalam komunitas POTADS dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur adaptasi dari unconditional self-acceptance questionnaire dan family quality of life questionnaire. Data diolah dengan program SPSS Statistics 20 untuk melakukan uji korelasi dengan menggunakan metode Pearson Correlation. Hasilnya didapat p> 0.05 yang menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara penerimaan diri dengan kualitas hidup ibu yang memiliki anak dengan down syndrome. Diperkirakan bahwa kualitas hidup lebih memiliki hubungan dengan variabel lain seperti dukungan sosial. / As the primary caregiver for a child with Down syndrome, it is not easy for mothers to accept themselves as having different children. The way the mother accepts will affect parenting and the mother's perspective on the quality of her life. On the other hand, emotional, material and parenting support that is included in the quality of life domain will result in the mother being able to accept herself or not. For this reason, research is needed on the relationship between self-acceptance and the quality of life of mothers who have children with Down syndrome. Quantitative method with purposive sampling technique was carried out on 75 mothers with children with Down syndrome in the POTADS community. It was carried out using adaptation measures of the unconditional self-acceptance questionnaire and the family quality of life questionnaire. The data was processed by the SPSS Statistics 20 program to perform a correlation test using the Pearson Correlation method. The results obtained p> 0.05 which indicates there is no relationship between self-acceptance and the quality of life of mothers who have children with Down syndrome. It is estimated that quality of life is more related to other variables such as social support.
