Abstract

Fanatisme adalah bentuk loyalitas yang ditandai dengan komitmen yang kuat dan ekstrim, loyalitas, dedikasi, gairah, keterikatan emosional, antusiasme dan komitmen, dan disebut sebagai dedikasi yang luar biasa pada suatu objek. Meskipun fanatisme paling sering dikaitkan dengan agama dan politik, namun juga dapat ditemukan di hampir semua aktivitas, termasuk aktivitas rekreasional seperti sepak bola. Seseorang menjadi penggemar klub sepak bola karena klub tersebut mewakili tempat kelahiran, keyakinan agama, pandangan dunia, dan ras mereka. Namun di Indonesia kini sudah banyak terbentuk fanbase klub Eropa di Indonesia, meskipun klub tersebut tak memiliki keterikatan dengan para fans di Indonesia. Penelitian ini akan menggambarkan manifestasi fanatisme bagi penggemar klub sepak bola Eropa di Indonesia, dengan menggunakan metode fenomenologi dan teori interaksi simbolik. / Fanaticism is a form of loyalty that is characterized by a strong and extreme commitment, loyalty, dedication, passion, emotional attachment, enthusiasm and commitment, and is referred to as an extraordinary dedication to an object. Although fanaticism is most often associated with religion and politics, it can also be found in almost any activity, including recreational activities such as football. A person becomes a fan of a football club because the club represents their place of birth, religious beliefs, worldview and race. However, in Indonesia, there are many European club fanbases have been formed, even though the club has no attachment to those fans in Indonesia. This study will describe the manifestation of fanatical traits to European football club supporter in Indonesia, using phenomenological methods and symbolic interaction theory.
