Abstract

Kegunaan dinding partisi untuk perkantoran dan perhotelan semakin hari semakin meningkat. Dinding partisi yang umum digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia adalah dinding partisi dari besi hollow dan gypsum. Permasalahan yang muncul dari dinding partisi besi hollow adalah kekuatan struktur kurang kokoh dan gypsum mereduksi suara yang kurang bagus. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian material komposisit dari material honeycomb paperboard yang dilapisi gypsum yang bertujuan untuk membuat material reduksi suara dan kekuatan struktur yang lebih bagus dibandingkan dinding partisi besi hollow. Dilakukan dengan cara membuat benda uji honeycomb paperboard yang berukuran 60 cm x 60 cm dengan variasi ketebalan 6 cm, 10 cm dan 14 cm. dan juga membuat benda uji honeycomb paperboard yang pada bagian cell diisi dengan Styrofoam. Pengujian dilakukan pada area tertutup ruang. Pengujian dilakukan untuk dapat melihat pengurangan reduksi suara yang terjadi. Pada pengujian menggunakan media frequency generator yang mampu memberikan hasil suara yang stabil dalam pengujian yang telah dilakukan suara dari frequency generator didapatkan rata-rata sebesar 84,78 db. Untuk material honeycomb paperboard dengan ketebalan 6 cm mampu mereduksi suara menjadi 58,03 dB dan untuk material honeycomb paperboard dengan ketebalan 14 cm mampu mereduksi suara menjadi 50,56 dB. Untuk material dari besi hollow mampu mereduksi suara menjadi 64,45 db. Dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan bahwa material honeycomb sudah termasuk kriteria untuk ruangan perkantoran bahwa ruangan perkantoran memiliki batas kebisingan sebesar 85 db dan standart kebisingan yang diberikan untuk ruangan perkantoran sebesar 55 db. / The use of partition walls for offices and hotels is increasing day by day. Partition walls that are commonly used by Indonesian people are partition walls made of hollow iron and gypsum. The problem that arises from the hollow steel partition wall is that the strength of the structure is not strong enough and the gypsum reduces the sound which is not good. Based on this, in this study, we tested the composition of honeycomb paperboard covered with gypsum which aims to make a sound reduction material and structural strength that is better than hollow iron partition walls. This was done by making honeycomb cardboard test objects measuring 60 cm x 60 cm with variations in thickness of 6 cm, 10 cm, and 14 cm. and also made honeycomb paperboard test specimens filled with Styrofoamin the cells. The test is carried out in an enclosed area of space. Tests are carriedout to be able to see the reduction in sound reduction that occurs. In testing using a frequency generator media that is able to provide stable sound results in the tests that have been carried out the sound from the frequency generator is obtained an average of 84.78 db. For honeycomb paperboard material with a thickness of 6 cm, it can reduce sound to 58.03 dB and for honeycomb paperboard with a thickness of 14 cm it can reduce sound to 50.56 dB. For hollowiron material, it is able to reduce sound to 64.45 db. From what has been done, the honeycomb material includes the criteria for offices that the office space hasa test limit of 85 db and the standard given for offices is 55 db.
