Abstract

Ranaka Hotel has a bad level of efficiency and safety. This is proven from the many unfortunate incidents in Ranaka Hotel, and the delay in the management process and room reservation. All the activites at Ranaka Hotel were written manually in one book either from reservation data, customer data, financial report, etc. Implementation of management and reservation system based on website is expected to be a solution to manage Ranaka Hotel to be more effective and transparent. Therefore, this final assignment focuses on the development of management and reservation system for Hotel Ranaka to be more efficient and effective by using System Development Life Cycle and Rapid Application Development method built with CodeIgniter framework with Model, View, Controller using the PHP language programming. The modeling method for this system is UML 2.5 with Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, and Class Diagram. All data from this system is stored in the MySQL database. The results of the research prove that the level of effectiveness and transparency increased because when users test the system, customers feels more easier when booking a room either in the checking the availabilty room process and until make a payment. So it is with the admin, can manage Ranaka Hotel online which can be accessed by more than one staff so can prevent the cheating that happened in Hotel Ranaka. In addition, admin jobs are more efficient because all the Ranaka Hotel operational activities that recorded from master data, room management, staff, scheduling, housekeeping, and reports are computerized./ Hotel Ranaka memiliki tingkat efektifitas dan transparansi yang masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini terbukti dari banyaknya kejadian yang kurang baik di dalam Hotel Ranaka, dan keterlambatan dalam melakukan proses manajemen dan reservasi kamar. Semua aktivitas yang terjadi di Hotel Ranaka ditulis secara manual dalam satu buku baik dari data reservasi, data customer dan laporan keuangan. Penerapan sistem manajamen dan reservasi berbasis website diharapkan menjadi solusi untuk mengelola Hotel Ranaka menjadi lebih efektif dan transparan. Oleh sebab itu, pembuatan tugas akhir ini berfokus kepada pengembangan sistem manajemen dan reservasi untuk Hotel Ranaka agar lebih transparan dan efektif dengan menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle dan Rapid Application Development yang dibangun dengan framework CodeIgniter dengan pola desain Model, Vide, Controller dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Pemodelan yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan sistem ini adalah UML 2.5 dengan use case diagram, Activity Diagram, dan class diagram. Semua data dari sistem ini disimpan dalam database MySQL. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efektifitas dan transparansi meningkat karena saat pengujian sistem, customer dimudahkan saat ingin melakukan pemesanan kamar baik dalam proses pengecekan kamar sampai melakukan pembayaran. Begitu halnya dengan admin, dapat mengatur Hotel Ranaka secara online yang dapat diakses oleh lebih dari satu staff sehingga mengurangi kecurangan yang terjadi di Hotel Ranaka. Selain itu, Pekerjaan admin lebih efisien karena segala pencatatan operasional Hotel Ranaka baik dari master data, manajemen kamar, staff, scheduling, housekeeping, dan laporan dilakukan secara terkomputerisasi.
