Abstract

Penginapan merupakan sebuah fasilitas akomodasi temporer bagi manusia yang membutuhkan tempat untuk bersinggah, baik untuk keperluan bisnis, ataupun untuk keperluan rekreasi. Sebagai akomodasi temporer, tentu sebuah penginapan harus memenuhi kebutuhan dari berbagai macam pengguna dalam situasi tertentu, salah satunya adalah situasi pandemi. Keadaan pandemi yang dialami manusia dalam masa penelitian ini tentu membuat manusia memiliki pandangan yang berbeda mengenai penginapan. Status penginapan sebagai akomodasi temporer bagi kalangan publik justru memicu keraguan bagi pengguna karena penyebaran virus COVID-19 melalui kontak manusia dengan permukaan benda ataupun manusia lain. Penelitian ini kemudian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menemukan desain penginapan, dalam hal ini resort, yang membantu meningkatkan kepercayaan pengguna untuk menggunakan penginapan di masa pandemi dan kedepannya dimana manusia lebih peduli mengenai higienitas dari lingkungan sekitarnya. Protokol kesehatan yang dirilis oleh World Health Organization (WHO) mengenai sektor hospitality menjadi salah satu panduan penulis dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Villa Bukit Pancawati Bogor digunakan sebagai lokasi dari penelitian dengan kacamata desain furnitur yang dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui eksplorasi mekanisme di workshop. Eksplorasi dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan frekuensi dan jangka waktu kontak langsung antara manusia dengan furnitur. Mockup akhir sebagai studi furnitur dengan skala 1:1 dibuat penulis sebagai salah satu media penelitian dengan tujuan untuk melihat relasi antar manusia dengan furnitur. / Logding is a temporary accommodation facility for human that needed a place to stay, be it for business, or for recreation purposes. As a temporary accommodation, a logding should accommodate all kinds of needs in different kind of situations, that includes the pandemic. The pandemic situation that happened to the world in the period of this research made humans have different perspective about lodging facility. Lodging facility which stands as a temporary accommodation sparked doubts in people’s mind because of the contacts between humans and objects within the facility that could spread the COVID-19 virus. This research was done with the intention to find a design, in this case a resort design, that could help build people’s trusts in lodging facility, as people have started to care more about hygiene and their surroundings post pandemic. The health protocol guidance that was released by World Health Organizaion (WHO) about hospitality has been one of the guides that is used in this research. Villa Bukit Pancawati Bogor has been used as a research location that was done qualitatively by exploring furniture design and mechanisms in the workshop. Exploration process was done with considerations about frequency and period of direct contact between humans and furniture. Furniture studies was done by making a final 1:1 mockup as one of the research methods to see the relation between human and furniture.
