Abstract

Permasalah mengenai sampah plastik telah menjadi polemik sejak tahun 1950. Presentase jumlah sampah plastik terus meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk dan banyaknya peralatan rumah tangga yang terbuat dari plastik. Plastik mengandung bahan polimer yang membutuhkan waktu lama untuk terurai di tanah, maka dari itu sampah plastik perlu di daur ulang agar tidak mencemari lingkungan. Dikarenakan adanya pandemi Covid-19, semenjak tahun 2020 seluruh masyarakat Indonesia diwajibkan untuk menggunakan masker saat berada di luar rumah demi mencegah penyebaran virus. Hal itu menyebabkan peningkatan sampah masker sekali pakai dan limbahnya menjadi masalah baru di Indonesia apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Maka dari itu perlu adanya literasi mengenai pengelolaan limbah masker sekali pakai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur seberapa besar pengaruh terpaan konten daur ulang masker pada Instagram @demibumi.id terhadap perilaku ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan survei untuk menguji Teori Ekologi Media. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dengan derajat hubungan korelasi sedang. Adapun variabel (X) Konten Instagram @demibumi.id berpengaruh terhadap variabel (Y) Perilaku Ramah Lingkungan sebesar 16,1%. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapar meneliti secara lebih luas dan mendalam menggunakan variabel lain yang memiliki pengaruh dengan perilaku ramah lingkungan. / Plastic waste has become a polemic since 1950. The amount percentage of plastic waste is increasing along with the increase of population and amount of household utensils that made of plastic. A plastic contain polymer material that need a long time to decompose on the ground, therefore plastic waste need to be recycle so it doesn’t polluting the environment. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, since 2020 all Indonesian people are required to use face mask outdoors to prevent the spread of the virus. It causes an increase of the mask waste and it could be a new problem if it’s not being well managed. That is why it necessary to educate people about waste management of disposable mask. This study attempts to measure the exposure of recycling disposable mask campaign on @demibumi.id Instagram account towards pro-environmental behavior of their followers. This study applied Ecology Media Theory using quantitative descriptive method. The result of this study showed there’s a positive relationship with moderate correlation. There are 16,1% influence between (X) variable @demibumi.id Instagram campaign towards (Y) variable Pro-environmental Behavior. Future research is expected to study broader and in-depth using another variable that has influence with pro-environmental behavior.
