Abstract
Pada masa pandemi ini, telah mempengaruhi aspek kehidupan sosial pada semua orang, salah satunya adalah hiburan yang berkurang karena tidak bisa keluar dari tempat tinggal. Isu ini diangkat karena banyak orang yang tidak dapat bersosialisasi dan tugas akhir ini akan mengadaptasi cerita fiksi The Tale of Saari dengan aspek Indonesia sebagai konsep video game dengan konsep seni dalam bentuk kemasan buku dengan harapan dapat mengenalkan masyarakat dengan video game yang bernuansa Indonesia dengan elemen fantasi. Dalam proyek ini, metode perancangan yang dipakai merupakan studi pustaka dan survei. Informasi yang didapatkan dari survei adalah data-data para pemain yang sangat gemar bermain video game dimulai dari gaya video game, game genre, tujuan dan penyebab dalam bermain video game. Informasi selanjutnya diperoleh dari studi pustaka, bersumberkan dari dari berbagai situs internet, video, buku elektronik dan jurnal akademik. Data-data ini berhubungan dengan teori, referensi, konten, dan konteks, yang dipakai dalam proyek ini, khususnya dalam bidang gaya pixel art. Bentuk akhir dari proyek ini adalah sebuah kemasan buku konsep seni cerita fiksi The Tale of Saari dan gameplay trailer. Proses pengerjaannya dimulai dari eksplorasi kata kunci visual, brainstorming, dan membuat moodboard untuk setiap konten. Tahap selanjutnya adalah perancangan untuk menentukan gaya yang akan digunakan untuk konsep seni cerita fiksi ini dari kedua kata kunci yang ditentukan adalah mysterious dan multiverse. / During this pandemic, it has affected all aspects of social life, one of which is entertainment which is reduced because they cannot get out of their homes. This issue was raised because many people cannot socialize, and this final project will adapt the fictional story The Tale of Saari with Indonesian aspects as a video game concept with the concept of art in the form of book packaging in the hope of introducing the public to video games with Indonesian nuances with fantasy elements. In this project, the design method used is literature study and survey. The information obtained from the survey is data on players who like playing video games starting from the style of video games, game genres, goals, and causes of playing video games. Further information is obtained from literature studies, sourced from various internet sites, videos, electronic books, and academic journals. These data relate to theory, references, content, and context, which are used in this project, especially in the field of pixel art style. The final form of this project is a concept art book packaging for the fictional story The Tale of Saari and a gameplay trailer. The process starts with exploring visual keywords, brainstorming, and creating a moodboard for each content. The next stage is designing to determine the style that will be used for this fictional story art concept from the two keywords that have been determined, mysterious and multiverse.
