Abstract
Social media is one of the most interactive media that popular around the world;
social media also differ from paper- based media or traditional electric media. Social
media is a two-way process in contrast to the one-way distribution where the user freely
publish their own content and citizen media generated reviews and feedback. Instagram
is one of the most popular social media network in Indonesia with 59 million active
users.
Now, Instagram is become a new profession for some people what the called
celebgram or celebrity Instagram. In research, the influencer is trying to digging some
more information of how they communicate with their audience especially about their
lifestyle as a men celebgram. Nowadays, men celebgram that are-confident showing
their unique lifestyle on this era when back then their like to keep it privacy to themself.
In this study researchers tried to identify communication patterns men
celebgram which renewing their communication patterns by knowing the personality,
identity and impression management of the research subjects. / Media sosial menjadi salah satu media yang banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat
luas hal ini dikarenakan media sosial memiliki banyak kelebihan dibandingan dengan
media cetak atau media elektronik. Media sosial bersifat dua arah yaitu bersifat timbal
balik dimana seseorang secara bebas dapat mengunggah sebuah konten di media sosial
miliknya dan orang lain pun dapat berkomentar secara bebas di konten yang diunggah
seseorang. Instagram merupakan salah satu media sosial yang paling banyak digunakan
masyarakat Indonesia dengan total pengguna aktif sebanyak 59juta.
Di Instagram kini muncul sebuah profesi baru yang disebut sebagai selebgram
atau selebriti Instagram. Di dalam penelitian ini peneliti berusaha menggali lebih dalam
mengenai pola komunikasi dari selebgram yang termasuk dalam kategori selebgram
gaya hidup pria. Adapun selebgram gaya hidup pria ini dianggap unik karena pada era
media sebelumnya pria yang memiliki keunikan ini tidak dapat menonjolkan diri
mereka secara online.
Dalam penelitian ini peneliti berusaha mengidentifikasi cara komunikasi
selebgram pria tersebut di Instagram juga mencari tahu apa saja hal yang mempengarui
cara komunikasi mereka dengan mengetahui kepribadian, identitas serta manajemen
impresi dari subjek penelitian.
