Abstract
kesehatan mata, salah satunya CVS.
positif mengalami gelaja CVS sebanyak 72% responden. Berdasarkan uji
Background: Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a group of health problems
related to eyes and vision due to excessive and prolonged use of electronic media.
The increasing public interest in the use of laptops occurs to meet the needs of
work and study. Excessive use of laptops can have a negative impact on eye
health, one of which is CVS. Purpose: to determine the relationship between the
duration of laptop use and CVS symptoms in students of the Faculty of Nursing at
one of the universities in Tangerang. Research Methods: using a correlational
quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was
229 nursing students class 2019 and 2020 at one of the universities in Tangerang.
Sampling was done by accidental sampling. The research instrument used is a
questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis and statistical
tests with Spearman's test. The results: The univariate test showed that 82% of
respondents used laptops for more than or equal to four hours, and those who had
positive CVS symptoms were 72% respondents. Based on the Spearman test, the p
value = 0.021, which means there is a significant relationship between the
variable duration of laptop use and CVS symptoms in students, it is suggested that
students can do 20-20-20 exercises to prevent CVS and for future researchers to measure CVS more objectively, such as flicker eye test, and expert eye
examination.
