Sebagai bagian dari Bangsa Indonesia, Universitas Y mengadakan program bantuan berupa donasi bagi korban bencana alam di Sentani, Papua. Namun dalam proses pengumpulan dana, mahasiswa menunjukkan kurangnya motivasi dan inisiatif untuk menolong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan internal locus of control dengan perilaku prososial pada mahasiswa Universitas Y di Surabaya. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan skala kecerdasan emosional, skala internal locus of control, dan skala prososial dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,881, 0,896, 0,768. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Y dengan jumlah 98 orang. Sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi spearman’s rho. Hasil uji hipotesis pertama menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan perilaku prososial (r=0,521, p<0,05). Kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi akan berhubungan kepada perilaku prososial yang tinggi. Keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam pelayanan masyarakat dan karya tulis mampu meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional. Hasil uji hipotesis kedua menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan antara internal locus of control dengan perilaku prososial (r=-0,003, p>0,05). Hal ini dimungkinkan karena jenis perilaku prososial mahasiswa yang cenderung perilaku prososial compliant dan dire. Meningkatkan kemandirian, bekerja keras dan mengembangkan mata kuliah liberal art yang difokuskan untuk mengembangkan kepemimpinan mampu meningkatkan internal locus of control / As a part of Indonesian, Y university held a donation program for the victims of a natural disaster in Sentani, Papua. However, during the fundraising process, the students showed lack of motivation and initiative to help. This research aims to find whether there is a relation between the emotional intelligence and the internal locus of control toward the prosocial behavior of the students of the Y university, Surabaya. The researcher used the quantitative method with the emotional intelligence scale, internal locus of control scale, and prosocial scale with the realibility as big as 0.881, 0.896, and 0.768. The sample of this research was 98 students of the Y university. The sampling used was the purposive sampling. The data was analyzed using spearman’s rho correlation test. The first hypothesis showed that there is the relation between emotional intelligence with the prosocial behavior (r=0,521, p<0,05). The higher emotional intelligence is related to the higher prosocial behavior. The student involvement in the community service and the papers were able to increase the emotional intelligence. The second hypothesis showed that there is no relation between the internal locus of control with the prosocial behavior (r=-0,003, p>0,05). This might happen because of the type of the students’ prosocial behavior tend to be compliant and dire. Raising teh awarness of being dependant, hard working and improving the liberal arts subject, which is focussed to develop leadership could improve the internal locus of control
