Abstract
Salah satu faktor demografi yang memengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan pada penelitian ini adalah seberapa sering seseorang mengangkat beban berat./Activity of lifting heavy weight is an activity that is often found in work and daily activities. Lifting heavy weights for long periods of time without using the correct technique can cause injuries that can lead to medical problems, such as back pain and inguinal hernias. Therefore, good knowledge is one of the important components to be researched so as to prevent the disease. In addition, there is still few research on the behavior of lifting weights, so it is important to know the factors that influence the level of knowledge and attitude in lifting weights. This study used an analytic study with a cross-sectional method of 98 respondents who have given consent to participate in this study and fulfills the research criteria. The level of respondents' knowledge of lifting heavy objects is really low, as many as 59 (60.2%) respondents. For the attitude level, most of the respondents already have a good attitude towards the attitude of lifting heavy objects as many as 52 (53.1%). The results of the bivariate test between knowledge and attitudes found p-value 0.899, OR 1.054 (CI: 0.468-2.371). The results of the bivariate test between knowledge and sociodemographic variables were found to be significant, namely the frequency of lifting weights with a p value of 0.029. There has not been found a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes of respondents to Lifting Heavy Weights in this study. One of the demographic factors that influence the level of knowledge in this study is how often someone lifts heavy weights.
