HUBUNGAN KONSUMSI SERAT DENGAN GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE (GERD) PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS PELITA HARAPAN Latar belakang: Serat memiliki beberapa kaitan dengan terjadinya Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). Kaitan ini dapat ditemukan di dalam beberapa penelitian yang telah ada. Demikian, hal ini juga berkaitan dengan konsumsi serat pada masyarakat Indonesia yang tergolong dibawah rata-rata. Terutama pada mahasiswa kedokteran ditemukan rendahnya konsumsi serat karena adanya beberapa faktor yang mendalami, seperti rasa malas, tidak selera makan, ketidaktersediaan bahan makanan, dan stress, sehingga terjadi kerentanan mahasiswa kedokteran terkena GERD. Tak ayal, hal ini juga berkaitan dengan prevalensi terjadinya GERD di antara dokter di Indonesia. Ditambah lagi belum ada penelitian mengenai hubungan konsumsi serat dan GERD pada mahasiswa kedokteran Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Tujuan penelitian: Untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan konsumsi serat dengan terjadinya GERD pada mahasiwa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional. Hasil penelitan akan dianalisa dengan analisa Chi-Square menggunakan program IBM SPSS versi 26.0. Hipotesis: Hipotesis peneliti menyatakan adanya hubungan signifikan antara hubungan konsumsi serat dengan terjadinya GERD pada mahasiwa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Hasil: Tidak ditemukan hubungan bermakna antara konsumsi serat dan GERD pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan Kata Kunci: GERD, serat, mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran / RELATIONSHIP OF FIBER CONSUMPTION WITH GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE (GERD) IN STUDENTS OF FACULTY OF MEDICINE UNIVERSITY OF PELITA HARAPAN Background: Fiber has several links with the occurrence of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). This relationship can be found in several existing studies. Likewise, this is also related to fiber consumption in Indonesian society which is classified as below average. Especially in medical students, it was found that low fiber consumption was due to several factors that were studied, such as laziness, lack of appetite, unavailability of food ingredients, and stress, resulting in the vulnerability of medical students to GERD. No doubt, this is also related to the prevalence of GERD among doctors in Indonesia. In addition, there has been no research on the relationship between fiber consumption and GERD in medical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan. Aim of Study: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between fiber consumption and the occurrence of GERD in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pelita Harapan. This study used a cross sectional study design. Method: The research results will be analyzed with Chi-Square analysis using the IBM SPSS version 26.0 program. Hypothesis: The researcher's hypothesis states that there is a significant relationship between fiber consumption and the occurrence of GERD in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
