Abstract

Meningkatnya populasi lansia yang kerap terjadi akhir-akhir ini diperkirakan akan terus berlanjut. Menurut World Health Organization (WHO), diantara tahun 2015 dan 2050, jumlah orang yang berusia 60 tahun dan ke atas akan meningkat hampir dua kali lipat dari 12% hingga 22%. Berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi, ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar lansia mengalami kesepian. Terjadinya kesepian pada lansia tidak terlepas dari peran yang dimiliki keluarga dan bagaimana keluarga dapat membentuk sistem untuk tetap menjaga lansia dari dampakdampak negatif seperti kesepian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur keberfungsian keluarga dalam penelitian ini adalah General Functioning Family Assessment Device (GF-FAD). Sedangkan alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur kesepian dalam penelitian ini adalah UCLA Loneliness Scale (Version 3). Penelitian sampel ini adalah sebanyak 100 lansia yang berdomisili di Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberfungsian keluarga memiliki hubungan negatif yang signifikan dengan kesepian pada lansia yang berdomisili di Jabodetabek (r=-.601, p=<.001). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik keberfungsian keluarga lansia, semakin rendah kesepian yang dirasakan./The increase of the elderly population that occurs in recent years is expected to continue. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 2015 and 2050, the number of people aged 60 years and over will almost double from 12% to 22%. Based on the phenomena that occurred, it was found that most of the elderly experience loneliness. The occurrence of loneliness in the elderly cannot be separated from the role that the family has and how the family can form a system to keep the elderly from negative impacts such as loneliness. This is a quantitative research with a correlational design. The measuring instrument used to measure family functioning in this study is the General Functioning Family Assessment Device (GF-FAD). While the measuring instrument used to measure loneliness in this study is the UCLA Loneliness Scale (Version 3). The sample of this research consist of 100 elderly who live in Jabodetabek. Additionally, The results of this study indicate that family functioning has a significant negative relationship with loneliness in the elderly who live in Jabodetabek. These results indicate that the better the functioning of the elderly family, the lower the perceived loneliness.
