Abstract
Keterbatasan dan permasalahan yang dialami lansia dalam masa penuaannya perlu untuk didukung oleh keberadaan lingkungannya. Kenyataannya lingkungan fisik tidak sepenuhnya dapat menanggapi segala kebutuhan dan permasalahan yang dialami lansia. Dibutuhkan ketangguhan atau resiliensi lansia di dalam lingkungan fisiknya. Kemampuan resiliensi ini sebagai ketahanan diri dan proses adaptasi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pada lansia. Resiliensi dapat terbentuk melalui aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh lansia. Diperlukan keberadaan lingkungan fisik atau ruang yang mampu mewadahi aktivitas pembangunan resiliensi.
Ruang yang dibutuhkan merujuk pada proses penyesuaian keadaan dan mengarahkan lansia dalam melakukan aktivitas pemangunan resiliensi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, ruang didesain dengan menggunakan pendekatan arsitektur perilaku. Desain ruang tersebut terintegrasi dengan pemanfaatan potensi teknologi virtual reality (VR). Strategi pembentukan kualitas ruang dalam lingkungan virtual akan mendukung pengalaman perjalanan resiliensi lansia melalui berbagai aktivitas yang dilakukan. Variabel dalam arsitektur perilaku tersebut akan dikomposisikan dalam ruang virtual.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan variabel arsitektur perilaku dalam perancangan ruang virtual yang dapat mewadahi aktivitas pembangunan resiliensi lansia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian literatur untuk mengetahui bentuk aktivitas yang membangun resiliensi lansia dan menyusun strategi pendekatan arsitektur perilaku yang akan dikomposisikan dalam ruang virtual. Metode survei angket kepada lansia juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi kesehatan fisik dan psikologi, serta persepsi lansia terhadap ruang. Melalui eksperimen teknis, peneliti merancang dan menguji kualitas ruang virtual yang mewadahi aktivitas lansia. Penelitian ini menghasilkan strategi pembentukan ruang virtual dengan pendekatan arsitektur perilaku dan hasil rancangannya berupa prototipe ruang virtual yang mampu meningkatkan resiliensi lansia. / The limitations and problems experienced by the elderly in their aging period need to be supported by the existence of their environment. The reality is that the physical environment cannot fully respond to all the needs and problems experienced by the elderly. It takes resilience or resilience of the elderly in their physical environment. This resilience ability is a self-resistance and adaptation process that aims to improve the quality of life in the elderly. Resilience can be formed through activities carried out by the elderly. The existence of a physical environment or space that can accommodate resilience-building activities is needed. The space needed refers to the process of adjusting circumstances and directing the elderly in carrying out resilience-building activities. Based on this, the space is designed using a behavioural architecture approach. The space design is integrated with the utilisation of the potential of virtual reality (VR) technology. The strategy of forming the quality of space in a virtual environment will support the experience of the elderly's resilience journey through various activities carried out. The variables in behavioural architecture will be composed in virtual space. This research aims to determine the application of behavioural architecture variables in the design of virtual spaces that can accommodate elderly resilience building activities. The method used in this research is a literature review to find out the form of activities that build the resilience of the elderly and strategize the behavioural architecture approach that will be composed in virtual space. The questionnaire survey method to the elderly was also carried out to find out the physical and psychological health conditions, as well as the elderly's perception of space. Through technical experiments, researchers designed and tested the quality of virtual spaces that accommodate elderly activities. This research resulted in a virtual space formation strategy with a behavioural architecture approach and the design results in the form of a virtual space prototype that can increase the resilience of the elderly.
