Abstract
Asma merupakan penyakit inflamasi kronik saluran napas dengan morbiditas dan
mortalitas yang cukup tinggi, sehingga menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat
yang serius di seluruh dunia. Asma sudah menyebar di berbagai belahan dunia. Di
Indonesia sendiri tercatat persentase penderita asma 2,4% dan persentase pasien
kambuh lagi selama setahun mencapai 57,5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan pasien Asma yang menggunakan obat inhalasi di
Poliklinik Paru RS Swasta X Tangerang dan untuk mengetahui langkah dalam
penggunaan inhaler yang masih terdapat kesalahan dalam penggunaannya,
sehingga edukasi dapat lebih dalam di bagian tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah
penelitian deskriptif prospektif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode simple
random sampling. Adapun pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil yang
didapat adalah berdasarkan karakteristik responden, jenis kelamin laki-laki 55%
perempuan sebanyak 45%. Pasien dengan persentase tertinggi sebanyak 81%
berusia >45 tahun. Terapi asma yang didapatkan oleh pasien adalah inhalasi
menggunakan inhaler jenis MDI sebesar 16% dan DPI (accuhaler dan turbuhaler)
84%. Sebanyak 60 responden (60%) memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang
cara penggunaan inhaler.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways with high morbidity and
mortality, making it a serious public health problem worldwide. Asthma has spread
in various parts of the world. In Indonesia alone, the percentage of asthma sufferers
was recorded at 2.4% and the percentage of patients relapsed again within a year
reached 57.5%. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of Asthma
patients who use inhaled drugs at the Pulmonary Polyclinic of X Private Hospital
Tangerang and to find out the steps in using inhalers where there are still errors in
their use, so that education can be deeper in that section. This type of research is a
prospective descriptive research. Sampling using simple random sampling method.
As for data collection using a questionnaire. The results obtained are based on the
characteristics of the respondents, male sex 55% female as much as 45%. Patients
with the highest percentage of 81% aged> 45 years. Asthma therapy obtained by
patients is inhalation using an MDI type inhaler of 16% and DPI (accuhaler and
turbuhaler) 84%. As many as 60 respondents (60%) have sufficient knowledge
about how to use inhalers.
