Sertifikat Syariah merupakan sertifikasi yang menjamin penerapan prinsip￾prinsip syariat islam, bagi badan usaha yang memiliki sertifikat syariah. DSN￾MUI sebagai lembaga dibawah naungan MUI memiliki tugas dan kewenangan mengeluarkan sertifikat syariah bagi setiap badan usaha. Pada dasarnya setiap kebijakan yang telah dikeluarkan oleh lembaga apapun harus memiliki tanggungjawab hukum. Karena hal tersebut menyangkut masyarakat secara luas.
