Abstract
Kini, penggunaan teknologi telah menjadi budaya dalam kehidupan masyarakat modern. Hal ini dikarenakan teknologi yang tidak bisa dipisahkan dengan kehidupan manusia sehari-hari, termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan. Salah satu terobosan dari teknologi ini adalah Chat GPT. Chat GPT mampu memberikan berbagai informasi sesuai dengan petunjuk yang diberikan dengan cepat. Namun, tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa terdapat dampak negatif yang mungkin ditimbulkan, seperti meningkatnya rasa malas, terjadinya plagiarisme, hingga menurunnya kemampuan analisa individu.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis dan metode fenomenologi. Sebagai upaya mendapatkan data, wawancara mendalam dengan teknik semi structured interview dan studi kepustakaan akan dilakukan. Dalam menentukan narasumber, penelitian ini akan mengambil sampel purposif dengan satuan unit analisis individu. Untuk itu, wawancara akan dilakukan dengan para akademisi yang mengajar di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia.
Setelah melalui seluruh proses, ditemukan bahwa para akademisi menerima Chat GPT karena manfaat dan kemudahan yang diperoleh. Seiring berjalannya waktu, penerimaan ini juga menimbulkan pergeseran pandangan di kalangan penggunanya. Untuk itu, perlu disadari bahwa penggunaan Chat GPT ini tetap memerlukan kontrol sosial melalui berbagai aturan karena dampak negatif yang mungkin ditimbulkan. / The use of technology has become a culture in modern society. It all impacted from the fact that technology cannot be separated from human activities, including in the field of education. One of the breakthroughs in this phenomenon is Chat GPT, a machine that provides information quickly. However, there are negative impacts that may arise, such as laziness, plagiarism, and decreasing individual analytical abilities.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm and phenomenological methods. To obtain data, in-depth interviews using semi-structured techniques and literature studies will be conducted. In determining sources, this research will take a purposive sample with individual analysis units. For this reason, interviews will be conducted with academics who teach at various universities in Indonesia.
Upon completion of the entire process, it was found that academicians generally accept Chat GPT due to the benefits and convenience it offers. However, over time, this acceptance has led to a shift in perspectives among users. Therefore, it is crucial to acknowledge that the utilization of Chat GPT still requires social control through various regulations to mitigate potential negative impacts.
