Abstract
Air pollution comes from various activities that emit pollutants into the air, causing the air to not function properly. Air pollution has a serious impact on health, especially in Jakarta which is facing major challenges regarding its air quality. The sources of pollution mostly come from vehicles and Steam Power Plants (PLTU). So that concrete steps are needed such as periodic air quality monitoring using the Internet of Things that can help monitor and take preventive steps. This research uses DHT 11 sensors that can detect temperature and humidity, and PMS5003 sensors that can detect particulate matter 2.5 and 10. Particulate matter is one of the parameters used to measure the Air Pollution Standards Index (ISPU). The tool validation test shows the error rate of PM 10 concentration reading of 4.60%, and PM2.5 of 4.48%. This air pollution detection tool was successfully built with data results that can be displayed on the website interface and smartphones.
