Abstract
Sebagai wonderfully made dari desain Allah, manusia merupakan makhluk yang berelasi sehingga manusia mampu berkontribusi aktif untuk membangun kehidupan yang harmonis dan seimbang. Siswa kelas VII-Y pada Sekolah X memiliki kecenderung bersikap individualis dan tidak mau terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Untuk merekonsiliasi gambar dan rupa Allah dalam diri siswa, pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan serta mendorong siswa untuk terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran IPS. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengupayakan keterlibatan aktif siswa kelas VII-Y pada pembelajaran IPS melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri. Penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri mampu mengupayakan keterlibatan siswa. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada awalnya 65%, setelah penulis menerapkan pembelajaran inkuiri meningkat menjadi 77%. Namun, penulis masih perlu merancang metode diferensiasi yang beragam serta mempertimbangkan waktu pelaksanaan unit pembelajaran untuk mendukung penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri yang maksimal. / As wonderfully made from God's design, humans are relational beings so that humans are able to actively contribute to build a harmonious and balanced life. Students in class VII-Y at School X have a tendency to be individualistic and unwilling to be actively involved in learning. To reconcile the image and likeness of God in students, inquiry-based learning is a learning strategy that provides opportunities and encourages students to be actively involved in social studies learning. The aim of this paper is to seek the active involvement of students in class VII-Y in social studies learning through the application of inquiry-based learning strategy. The application of inquiry-based learning strategy is able to seek students' involvement. This was proven from the learning outcomes obtained by students initially 65%, after the author implemented inquiry-based learning the learning outcomes increased to 77%. However, the author still needs to improve diverse differentiation methods and consider the implementation time of learning units to support the maximum application of inquiry-based learning strategy.
