Abstract

Matoa (Pometia pinnata J.R. & G.Forst) adalah salah satu tumbuhan yang tumbuh pada daerah tropis dan subtropis. Matoa (Pometia pinnata J.R. & G.Forst) memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan dalam bidang kecantikan. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya didapatkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun matoa mengandung senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid, triterpenoid, steroid, tanin dan saponin sehinga berpotensi menjadi agen antioksidan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji potensi antioksidan pada sediaan toner wajah yang mengandung ekstrak etanol 96% dari daun matoa. Ekstraksi daun matoa akan dilakukan dengan metode ekstraksi dingin yaitu maserasi dengan etanol 96% selama 3x24 jam. Sediaan toner dibuat dalam 3 variasi konsentrasi yaitu 0,1%; 0,3%; dan 0,5%. Evaluasi yang dilakukan pada sediaan toner meliputi uji organoleptik, uji pH, uji bobot jenis, uji homogenitas, uji viskositas, uji antioksidan dengan metode DPPH menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Data dianalisis dengan microsoft excel untuk memperoleh nilai IC50 dan persamaan garis linear dari uji antioksidan. Hasil uji antioksidan dari ekstrak daun matoa memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 2,33 μg/mL, dan 2,17μg/mL. Aktivitas antioksidan dari toner wajah 0,1% adalah 78,9 μg/mL; 76,98 μg/mL; dan 74.62 μg/mL, toner wajah 0,3% memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 58.25 μg/mL ; 56.71 μg/mL ; dan 57.23 μg/, toner wajah 0,5% memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 53.02 μg/mL; 53.36 μg/mL ; dan 55.36 μg/mL. Toner wajah terbaik adalah toner wajah formulasi tiga (0,5%). Toner dengan formulasi tiga (0,5%) dianggap terbaik karena memiliki aktivitas antikoksidan paling tinggi. Sediaan toner wajah dari ekstrak etanol 96% daun matoa memiliki warna kuning-kecoklatan, cair, dan memiliki bau khas tea tree. Rentang nilai pH dari sediaan toner wajah adalah 6,27-6,49. Nilai viskositas dari sediaan toner wajah adalah 9,3-12,36 cPs. Semua formula dari toner wajah memenuhi syarat mutu fisik kecuali viskositas. Evaluasi dari sediaan sesudah dan sebelum cycling test tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap uji viskositas, dan pH toner wajah. / Matoa (Pometia pinnata J.R. & G.Forst) is a plant that grows in tropical and subtropical areas. Matoa (Pometia pinnata J.R.& G.Forst) has the potential to be developed in the field of beauty. Based on previous research, it was found that the ethanol 96% extract of matoa leaves contains flavonoids, alkaloids, triterpenoids, steroids, tannins and saponins so that it has the potential to be an antioxidant agent. This research was conducted to test the antioxidant potential of facial toner containing 96% ethanol extract from matoa leaves. Extraction of matoa leaves will be carried out using the cold extraction method, namely maceration with 96% ethanol for 3x24 hours. Toner will be made in 3 concentration variation, namely 0,1%; 0,3%; and 0,5%. Evaluations that will be carried out on face toner include organoleptic tests, pH tests, specific gravity tests, homogeneity tests, viscosity tests; Antioxidant test with the DPPH method using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The data analyzed using Microsoft Excel to obtain the IC50 value and the linear equation of the antioxidant test and with SPSS to obtain statistical analysis. The antioxidant test results of matoa leaf extract have IC50 values of 2,33 μg/mL, and 2,17μg/mL. The antioxidant activity of 0.1% facial toner was 78.9 μg/mL; 76.98 μg/mL; and 74.62 μg/mL, 0.3% facial toner had IC50 values of 58.25 μg/mL; 56.71 μg/mL; and 57.23 μg/, 0.5% facial toner had IC50 values of 53.02 μg/mL; 53.36 μg/mL; and 55.36 μg/mL. The best facial toner is formulation three (0.5%). Toner with formulation three (0.5%) is considered the best because it has the highest antioxidant activity. The facial toner from 96% ethanol extract of matoa leaves has a yellow-brownish color, liquid, and has a distinctive tea tree odor. The pH value range of the facial toner is 6,27-6,49. The viscosity value of the facial toner is 9,3-12,36 cPs. All formulas of facial toner meet the physical quality requirements except viscosity. Evaluation of the face tonerafter and before the cycling test did not have a significant difference in the viscosity test, and pH of the facial toner.
